I have been following Another 71 from a while..I want to Thank you everyone who has been posting here.I think now its my time to share it with everyone.

3 things that really helped me

    (1)Motivation and Determination to pass

    (2)Prayers

    (2)College books

When i passed REG in October i was thinking to take FAR in January. But i was so burned out that i just wanted to get it

done.So i decided to take in November which i know was impossible task.So first thing i did was to check weighted

percentage of each section. After looking at it, i decided to concentrate more on Governmental and NPF.I was reading it everyday. Then i started concentrating on financial statements. So that covered me for 40% as per Aicpa’s (CSOs).Then for the rest of material i refereed to college books.I was done with all material before 2 weeks of exam.I had an option to do MCQ practice or do repetition.I decided to just do repetition as it was very important to get the grasp on concepts.Since i was working full time i made sure my weekends would end up with at least 10 hours of studying.I hope this helpful for everyone as i felt the need to share with everyone.Once again Thank you everyone for sharing their experience.

If i can do it everyone can do it,.

Can you pray for me as I have to go another round with FAR next month.

    Congratulations! 🙂

@CPA111- Can you suggest any specific college books to use for FAR? I currently have Becker and Becker Final Review, but I made two 73's on Financial. I think using some textbooks to really go back and learn a few specific areas may be what I need to boost my score this time!

    Thanks!

@ar.cpa.cand, someone on this site suggested this website: https://www.principlesofaccounting.com/. I didn't have time before my test to look at it but I did keep it for future reference.

Two 73s in a row. I was motivated to get past this 74 next time but I think you've officially scared me. Did you do anything different between the 1st and 2nd test?? I need advice as well.

    Good luck!!

@cosmo_sippin_cpa –Welllll, I took my first FAR test June 29th, and then for my Nov 19 rematch I used Becker Final Review and Ninja notes to supplement my Becker Self Study. Not sure what happened there… but I'm ready for a rematch and to finish this test for good! I haven't gotten my score report yet, but last time I was weaker on the Sims, so I'm interested to see it for this time through.

Good luck on your retake! You will do great! I have a good friend who went from a 73 to 80's on FAR this time and used a cram/final review type course. I'll definitely look into that textbook you posted. Thanks!

@cosmo_sippin_cpa I will surely pray for all of you.I know how it is to miss it by couple of points

@ar.cpa.cand. The book i studies was Kieso Weygandt warfield -Intermediate Accounting.

Please remember repetition is key.I did it for REG and FAR too.

@CPA111 what I understand from you is that you only repeated the material reading and did not do any practice MCQ's !!!!? Is it true or am I missing something?

@ar.cpa.cand, I'd recommend getting an additional test bank this time around!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58
