Hi guys, 🙂

I am studying FAR with Wiley Text and TB. I have an accounting degree and I found Wiley’s FAR sims super easy. Each sim takes me like 3-5 mins to complete. This gives me a really strange feeling because my previous experience with AUD sims was terrible and I don’t think the difficulty of these FAR sims matches those on the actual exam. I don’t want to underestimate the actual exam so I really want to know how hard a REAL FAR sim could be, comparing to Wiley’s sims. Any experience?

I used Wiley (Yaeger), and the SIMS were very comparable in form and difficutly to the WTB sims. Perhaps I just got lucky as it seems that most people gets blasted by the FAR sims on the exam…

I use the Becker study materials and the sims are very similar to the ones found on the FAR exam… In fact, they were harder than the ones on the exam, but the material was very similar. If you could work the Becker sims, you could definitely pass the sims on the exam.

I would say the Becker/Wiley sims were actually a little harder than the sims from the actual exam. I was really surprised how easy they were and was kind of panicking afterwards that maybe there were some trick questions in there.

I will say that I thought the Becker SIMS were a lot shorter than the ones on the actual exam

I agree with Ntw6817.. the SIMS on my FAR exam were out of this world difficult and extremely lengthy… I still managed a passing grade but I'd be prepared for anything when it comes to FAR SIMS

@ E Coli – how were the AUD sims comparable to the Wiley Sims? I am studying for AUD right now, and am curious if the exam is comparable to the TB or Book.

I took FAR today and found the actual sims much easier than Becker. I was short on time, but I'd say 10 minutes on each sim tops. Some of them didn't take that long, though.

B - 81 (8/31/13) first attempt!
A - 80 (2/3/14) first attempt!
R - 89 (7/31/13) first attempt!
F - 86 (7/2/13) first attempt!

@ jdwalton19, I do think that the actual AUD sims were more difficult than Wiley's sims. But they were still doable because most of the answers could be found in the authoritative literature. So if you give yourself enough time to search through the literature, you will do fine. 😉
