    you are sure you failed??

Seriously i’d love to know the psyche behind this b/c it seems common. I literally thought i scored in the 90’s on AUD and failed with a 68. For FAR and REG i thought i was doomed and passed.

This is just my theory. If you knew the material very well then the testlets probably stayed difficult and we probably didn't answer as many of the difficult questions correctly. The testlets probably were med-dif-dif. Especially if you did well on testlets 1 and 2. Those that passed probably had easier testlets throughout which allowed them to get more points. The testlets probably were med-easy-med.

Just my theory because I really have no clue. I for sure I thought I passed but I failed with a 74.

    FAR Passed
    REG Passed
    AUD Passed
    BEC Passed

All aboard, this train's leaving. Next stop, TBD!

On my second REG attempt, I was 99% sure I made it, but failed with a 74. On my third and last attempt, I was unsure because I thought my exam was a complete mess. I passed with an 84. It's very strange. The way they curve these exams is very unusual, so the results are always surprising.

I think it depends a little on when you test…I took bec first and swore I failed….probably bc it was hard and was the first one…I took aud last and left very confident that I passed and really just passed with a 77…I really thought I would hit the 90s with my score…I think the more familiar you get with the setup the less panicked I felt…and since I had passed the others I was convinced I aced audit…especially since I was able to finish and had time to spare…I guess you never know…these tests are hard!

I thought I failed audit and ended up with an 84… I didn't believe people when they say they think they failed and then passed in the 80s or 90s but now I completely understand…I thought I bombed the multiple choice and the only chance I had was that I might have done decent on sims but according to my score report I did stronger on the MC and comparable on the sims… really weird how this works!

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

its because the exam is adaptive, meaning the questions get harder the better you do and easier the worse you do

    for example,

testlet 1 you did good so in testlet 2 the questions will get harder making you think you answered the questions wrong and making you think you bombed the exam, OR

testlet 1 you did bad so in testlet 2 the questions will get easier making you think the exam was easy (this is what happened to me when i first took AUD, thought exam was a joke and i knew i passed…got 54)

i heard an old theory that if you think you failed you probably passed and if you think you passed you probably failed

    @ppierce

i pretty much changed everything i was doing. changed review courses, changed studying habits, changed amount of exams taken per window.

long story short, you have to do what works for you because everyone is different

Reading this makes me so nervous. After taking Audit on Saturday I have been feeling better about it then any other exam I have taken to this point. Ugh, reading stuff like this is brutal. I almost don't want to admit to myself that I think I did well for superstitious reasons like this!

I thought I completely BOMBED REG – but I just squeaked by. For AUD, I thought I did about mid-range (either barely passed or barely failed) but got an 87. It's hard to judge!

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.

I am so frustrated reading all these posts about the level of difficulty of each testlet– I've taken BEC twice now and the first time I took it the first testlet was brutal and then the test got easier from there and I failed (obviously).. this time around the easiest of my 3 testlets on my FIRST exam… was my 1st testlet of my 2nd exam… not hard at all.. but the test pretty much stayed the same… I just didn't see any difference at all– from reading all the posts I guess I should expect a score in the 50's…

I just don't know what to think anymore… so deflated and frustrated. I guess I will be retaking this test for the 3rd time in July… URGH….

@KatieM – you never know, typically that type of thinking about how you did means you got a 97! =) I hope thats the case for you.

@Neika – I feel how you did about Audit, I don't think I did terribly but I know I didn't ace it. I am expecting a score in the 70's. The wait is brutal.

I don't know what to make of either way. I didn't know how I did on FAR and turned out I passed. I left AUD thinking I failed and then passed, and REG I was actually pretty comfortable with, thinking that I passed – and I passed! Now's the wait for BEC which I was definitely the least prepared for (spent about half the amount of time studying as I did for the others) and at this point I don't know what to feel, but I honestly hope I passed.

    FAR -2/12 82
    AUD -8/12 84
    REG -2/13 85
    BEC -5/13 86

    Hi all,

I took REG on Tuesday and felt as if my testlets went med, difficult, med/easier. Really don't know what to think. Guess we will just have to wait and see but the 10th seems so far away!!

    BEC: 79
    REG: 77
    AUD: 83
FAR: May 3, 2014 This WILL be my last exam.
