    No Life Now,

I know you are burnt out and frustrated, but you are almost there. So close. Perhaps even done today! Six months and 12 days is pretty fantastic in my book.

If you don't go home and crawl into the fetal position after your exam today, let us know how you feel you did.

No Life Now, I agree with you, this CPA exam stuff is brutal, but you have a good streak going and you're doing much better than the “average bear”….good luck…

OK, I took my REG exam yesterday, I think I passed?

I took FAR on November 13 and started studying this morning about 2 hours.

Then, I'll pick up the studying pace after December 15 if I don't get my FAR score.

It is more likely than not, that if you don't get your FAR score on the first wave, that you probably failed since the examiners are taking a second and third look to make sure you were graded correctly.

Doesn't that make sense to everyone? You don't want to wait until January to get your score and find out you failed. When you could've been studying during the holidays!

Your thoughts on being proactive would be appreciated….

    Tampa,

I'm doing the opposite.. I am waiting on my last two scores..I could be studying in December and be ready to retake in Jan..but I figure I just took 4 parts in 5 months so I'm going to wait until I know for sure I have to study again..If i do have to study again I'll start in Jan and take one at the end of Feb…sorry couldn't help support you on being proactive….

    TampaAccountant,

Don't let Wave 2 scare you. I was one of the very last people to get my REG score and I passed. It could go either way.

I am going to tell you guys that you can't really know how you did on FAR until you get the actual results.

My experience, I knew I had a *chance* at passing FAR. I completed everything, was pretty sure I nailed the memos and the research tabs. But the multiple choice questions were not easy. I didn't feel horrible leaving the test center, but I did feel somewhat rattled. The multiple choice questions were starting to wear me down. I kept getting questions on topics upon which I felt relatively weak. I made educated guesses on QUITE A FEW multiple choice questions. The sims I thought were fair.

So, I knew I had a chance to pass, but I thought it would be close. I passed with a 91. Same thing with REG, I thought it would be close, I passed with a 90. The only one I've predicted accurately so far was BEC…..I knew I was 84-86, and that's exactly where I was. Just took AUD today, and I'm not even going to bother to try to predict it. I'm just going to assume I'm done until NASBA shows me otherwise. Would like to think I accumulated enough points to at least pass, though.

In a strange way it is comforting to see that sooo many others felt really horrible too. I studied like I have never studied before and felt like I knew the material inside and out. After I walked out of there last Tuesday I felt as if I was just victimized by a pack of silverback gorillas!!!! Why do they have to mess with us so bad…we are all giving a honest effort and they just screw with our minds!! Now you have to wait and agonize over it for 3 more weeks….UGGGH!!!

Reading these posts kind of gives me hope I'm actually done. But then I think to myself I shouldn't start thinking positively because I don't want to get my hopes up. I am so sick over my experience with FAR that I won't be suprised if I failed. I probably will get like a 35 on this exam. That is seriously how I felt. Even the easy questions I doubted because I was so tired and worn out from being bombarded with everything else. It just is sick and cruel!

I wonder if a curve can bring me up to a 75 ? I guess I will know right before Christmas. Watch NASBA will make us wait until after the long weekend. Whatta joke!!!

Just got out of FAR 20 minutes ago and not feelin too shabby. The second two mc testlets were definitely more difficult and in depth than the first and the sims and wriiten communications seemed ridiculously easy. I hope that is not a bad sign…

Jeremy, I found the written communications on FAR very doable as well – I was Wave 1 this window. You probably passed.

OK, now I know I really failed!

If I'm seeing alot of you who have passed 3 parts already, on the first try, saying you feel horrible what does that say for the rest of us who are starting-out or have only passed one part!

Has anyone written comments in the section after the exam that asks you how ur experience was? I just took auditing the other day and left a ton of comments about how the test was pretty much bs and that every question is out to trick the test taker. Hope they don't read that and fail me just cause I complained

I wanted to complain in the comment section, but I didn't because I believe someone is going to get pissed-off and fail me.

I also NEVER return food back when I'm in a restaurant, they often spit or throw your food on the floor and then serve it back to you………..I just drink the water, if already has been served…and leave…….
