3 months sounds a little excessive. Most people take a maximum of 2 months to prepare, since you have to refresh on the first sections studied.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

Are you working? If you are, I think 3 months for FAR could be about right.

I did about 3 months. Took me some time 🙂

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.

    CPA in Massachusetts; issued 01/24/14

I failed FAR for the first time after studying 4 months, I think it was too long. took break from FAR, and nailed other exams. and then spent 7 weeks on FAR and passed it.

like others say, spend 2 months max. and leave 2~3 weeks for end-to-end review. then u should be alright.

    Currently:
    CPA - Class of 2013
    ALMI (Associate, Life Management Institute)
CISA - Passed in 2011, Certified in 2014

    In Progress:
ASA (Associate of Society of Actuaries) - EXAM P (O), EXAM FM (O), EXAM MFE (X), EXAM MLC (X), EXAM C (X)

8 weeks max in my opinion…you start forgetting things beyond that.

Hi Everyone! I started studying for FAR about 2 weeks ago (20-25 hours a week) and just got to the middle of Chapter 2 in Becker. I also use Wiley Test Bank, Ninja Notes, and Ninja Audio while driving to and from work. I was thinking about taking FAR at the end of February but now realizing that it will take longer…Either I'm a dummy or 2-3 hours of studying in the evenings after work are not very productive…
