I’ve got my exam next Thursday and have done over 3,000 multiple choice questions and studied them thoroughly. I have procrastinated practicing any simulations until now and I think that may have been a huge mistake. I am now freaking out and feel like I know nothing. I worry that if I spend time now trying to study sims that make me freak out then I may be wasting my last few precious days of studying. Thoughts?

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

CPAExcel used for BEC, AUD, REG
Exam Matrix used for FAR plus NINJA Blitz, cpareviewforfree and a little CPAExcel

Quick answer – yes. I think I did at most 5 SIMs to practice for FAR, and those were in the day or two before the exam. My theory for all the exams (which worked for me, 4/4) was that the SIMs “just” required a thorough understanding, so studying 50 samples of 50 topics might not prepare me for the 5 topics picked on the exam, but working hard to learn all the topics (through reading, MCQs, etc.) would prepare me for any topic.

    No sims here…..scored 77

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Ok, I posted here earlier, and now again because I have passed FAR thinking I bumped it. I left 2 blank SIMs questions because I ran out of time, I was sure of 3 SIMs questions including the research question, and the forth one partial credit, my advisory score came out as comparable in SIMs, and strong in MCQs. so overall, don't give up if you feel you didn't do well in SIMs you still have a good chance, my score was 81 unbelievable. Good luck and expect surprises to happen.

I did not do one single practice sim for FAR and I passed. The way I look at it, you either know the material or you don't. If you know the material and understand basic journal entry/spreadsheet questions you'll be fine. We practiced looking stuff up in the codification in college.

    AUD - 72,(Retake 8/14)
    FAR - 81
    BEC - 80
    REG - TBA (Scheduled 7/15)
