I was the classroom assistant for Becker for my FAR course. The compensation I chose was for the FAR final review materials. My class started on April 10 and finished on May 8…and I still haven’t gotten my materials. They addressed the package incorrectly so it was shipped to Texas (I live in DC). I called UPS and was told it would be overnighted to me, but now they’re overnighting it back to Becker, which means I have to call them again to get the compensation I should have gotten a month ago.

Has anyone else ever been a classroom assistant for a Becker course? Has anyone ever had a similar experience?

I'm bumping this…this is causing me a lot of stress, and I'm really hoping for some advice/encouragement on it.

I was a classroom assistant several years ago when I first attempted this exam. I chose the “final review” package as compensation, and they gave it to me in advance, before the course even started.

Well since they did in fact ship it its obvious that they intend to honor their agreement and just made a mistake. Not much you can do about it now. If you don't get it in time to help you with your FAR test just don't open the package, call them and ask they swap it for something else.

I don't like Becker materials- not even a little bit, but I will say that their customer service has been really super. I am sure they will make it right.

The materials helped me pass REG and AUD with flying colors, so I like the materials. Unfortunately there's nothing that they can swap it out with. The three choices for compensation were tuition reimbursement, free flashcards, or the final review. My company paid for my materials, so reimbursement is out of the question, and my company also paid for my flashcards, so that's out too.

Well they could swap it out for the BEC final review is what I meant. Regardless it sounds like a crappy situation, but I'm sure they will work with you. Sorry this has been such a hassle for you though.
