Who else is spending Memorial Day weekend studying like me? I’m studying for FAR. Could be my last one for me. This test is like studying for REG, AUD and BEC combined.

By the way, do you all feel that Becker’s FAR questions are ridiculous? As in extremely long and crazy? They differ much from the AICPA released questions for FAR. From past experience, I have noticed the exam questions are not as long and crazy as some of these becker questions. So I’m trying not to stress on some questions I just can’t figure out at this point.

Yep, studying this weekend! I'm done with testing for May (just took FAR), but throwing myself into REG material (I'm a bit of a tax law nerd and work part of my job as a paralegal) is helping distract me from the agony of waiting for my FAR score.

Good luck all you late May testers!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I always noticed that the Becker questions were the hardest (the ones that don't have a date on them – I think that means Becker just created that question and it was never an actual CPA question). Anyways, I passed FAR a few months ago and I felt like the most helpful thing in my last review was clicking through the MCQs and answering only 2005+ released questions. Some of the older questions, like from the '90s/questions without dates, seemed to be overwhelmingly long and force you to draw assumptions about what the question was actually asking before you answered.

Also, I think I only averaged around 65-75% correct for my MCQs with Becker. And I basically never did the sims haha.

    FAR - 86
    REG - 88
    BEC - 85

I am also studying FAR this weekend. My test is Thursday and it's my first section ever! I took the first Becker practice exam today and it went really well, but I imagine the real exam is gonna be a lot harder (especially with the adaptive MCQs and longer sims). I am going to focus in on my weak areas (taxes!) and also try to make sure I have gov't, NFP and IFRS down.

I can't wait til after the exam is over!

    FAR - 99 (5/14)
    AUD - 89 (8/14)
    REG - 93 (4/15)
    BEC - 5/18/15
