Long story short, I have to take FAR again on Feb 28 because I took too long to pass the other 3. I haven’t failed any yet, but life, etc. and I waited too long to take the remaining exams and now I have to resit for FAR. I have to admit that when I got my most recent score and passed, I thought to myself, you fool, you would have been finished with this mess today if you hand’t taken so long to sit for the other 3 exams!!! But, it’s fine, just pass FAR again and finally be done with this thing hopefully this month.

I remember being bewildered by Governmental accounting when I sat the first time, and sure enough it is still a weak spot. The Becker videos are absolutely lacking. I was using Roger when I passed the first time and remember being frustrated by how terrible I thought his explanations were for governmental. I basically had to do as much rote memorization as I could and ended up doing fine on the exam but had no real understanding of the material.

Enter the Bob Monet Ninja Videos. I cannot tell you how much better and more intuitive these lectures are than either Becker or Roger. After having watched these things, I feel soooo much better about governmental than I did before. Just passing some advice along. If you are taking FAR and having a hard time with governmental, do yourself a favor and watch the Ninja Plus videos. The monthly Ninja charge is more than worth it to get access to them. I cannot recommend these videos highly enough.

Good advice and for anyone that actually is still taking accounting classes government accounting and not for profit is good class to take.

When I read the first part of your post I thought you were going to be asking for advice on Governmental and I was getting ready to praise Bob's videos also! I never learned governmental in school and felt totally lost on it after Roger's main course (really the only topic I felt that way about). I also bought Ninja for my very last week before FAR and those Governmental videos made all the difference in the world. Bob explained it so much better that I finally had a clue what was supposed to be going on. I went back to watch some of the Rogers stuff after that and realized that his probably would have been fine if I had ever seen the topic before but as someone coming into it with zero knowledge they just weren't dumbed down enough.

I think it depends on the person. I used Becker in the past and used Roger after and thought Roger was better and was fine with his lectures.
