Thanks again @mrs300. Seriously, hearing you and others talk about their experiences is keeping me going.
I got my FAR 65 while in the master's program full-time and working part-time last August. Mistake (obviously). After the FAR fail, I already had REG scheduled for November. I couldn't reschedule and realized I wasn't going to pull it off. So instead of killing myself trying, I gave myself a pass and decided to concentrate on school and skip taking it that window at all. I sat for it cold (for the experience and because I paid for it) and got a 60.
I skipped all study during tax season. I cutback to part-time work immediately afterwards to study REG which resulted in my 74 at the end of this May. My fear is that if I can't pass when my only commitment is working part-time, how will I pass when I go back to full-time? I can't work part-time forever and from my bosses point of view I have been working on the exam for almost a year.
Whine, whine, I know. Many of you have way more to handle than I, families, demanding jobs and the rest. We all have different logs in the road. I'm just upset because it's a fresh 74. It can help to share this stuff with people who know.
This forum really keeps me from completely losing my mind. Most of my friends are busy having babies and taking maternity leave. They don't have professional jobs and don't understand the intense pressure cooker this is. My family doesn't get it because school was a breeze for me, so when I fail it appears as if I'm not trying.
