I agree, I was just debating whether to put this on the top 5 most dreadful experiences of my life list. This is my first exam and I'll be sitting May 3rd. Don't give up! We'll get through it and reap the rewards eventually–good luck everyone 🙂

I took it in Feb, ran out of time and only was able to do 3.5 sims and got a 70. If I had 15 more min I would have passed… that's still eating at me big time, and reviewing all this crap isn't making the memories any sweeter…. maybe these BBQ Pringles will though =)

I am not doing well so far at studying with FAR. I seem to have lost my motivation! Still six weeks to go. It just seems overwhelming. I need to write out why I want to be a CPA again and tape it in front of me to find that motivation again because right now, I am not feeling it. Sigh…

I'm not enjoying this FAR studying. I've started to lose my motivation a little. I just feel like there is no way I'll ever know enough to pass. You know what's worse then studying FAR? Restudying for FAR! I know I don't want to do that!!

@Mom2two, I know how you feel. I definitely did the same thing yesterday…I kind of lost my momentum the last few days and even caught myself saying ‘Seriously? Why am I even doing this?' As soon as the words came out I regretted saying it and wanted to push them back in. I Thankfully, I pulled myself together and was able to be productive today. I just hope my moment of weakness doesn't become a reoccurring event! Stick with it—motivation will find its way back!

@whyme, I'll be in the review stage in another week or so and I'm nervous about all the material that I haven't really kept up with. What's your review strategy?

@Ashley, THANK YOU! For reminding us all of probably the only thing that is worse than studying for FAR—having to RE-STUDY. No thanks! I think I'll go through my flashcards now…

You guys can do it! Don't start giving up now.

It is such a short term sacrifice, for an incredible long term reward!!!

All of you have what it takes to pass, otherwise you wouldn't even be attempting it. Hit it hard, study good, understand the material and go pass that test!!!!!

I can vouch what Ashley said. Restudying FAR is the WORST. Unfortunately there is something even worse that that…Restudying FAR with a SINUS HEADACHE. Someone get me some Claritin… >_<

Thank you witchkizzel that was really motivating to hear. It really is a short sacrifice in the long scheme of things. I appreciate what you said. Thanks!

Good luck to everyone taking FAR soon! I take it Weds am & definitely wish I had another week to prep.

I made the dread mistake of taking a test in a review program I haven't been using as much (CPA Excel) as the primary one I have been (Wiley). Needless to say the results weren't so hot & managed to freak me out in my final prep days. Obviously Wiley is more math-based & emphasizes different topics, but seriously how are we expected to figure this all out when even the test prep people can't lol?! I just don't understand how I can spend more than 200 hrs studying for a test & still be in the 75 range.

I think I've accepted the reality I'll probably come in right under passing & have to resit in the next window. Oh well – it is what it is!
