Getting 60% on practice MCs

I’m using Becker to study. My strategy has been to study the each chapter, write my notes, and do some of the MCs homework, but not all of it. I do the some of the MCs to make sure I grasp the concepts.

After every 3 chapters, then I go through all of the MCs in those chapters. At the moment, my percentage correct is usually around 55-65%, which is a bit alarming to me. Should I keep doing these MCs until I get closer to 75%? Or should I move onto the next chapter and wait until I am closer to my exam date to really nail these MCs?

So far, I’ve only studied chapters 1-3 and have 7 weeks left, but I’m still freaking out.

My normal is between 50-60%, I read the chapter and then do the set of questions with that chapter and move to the next chapter and do those questions and so on. Then before going on the next section I do a 10-15 question quiz from the whole section. I think either way by the time you get back to it after you have went thru all sections your going to forget half of the stuff. So do the MCQ for each chapter and move on to the next chapter and then section. Dont get too hang up on it. I think the second time around really helps with information sticking in your head. At least thats how it is for me. I am also using Becker.

If I do the same MCQ's too many times I just memorize the answers and don't really learn as much. If you learn WHY you missed the question and understand the principle, then you should be fine.
