Getting 50% right in the nonstop MCQ stage

So I’m studying for FAR with yaeger. I watched the videos and took notes then rewrote Jeff’s notes. Right now I’m using the Gleim test bank, I bought it because someone said it is harder. So I’ve forgot about a lot of the things in the yaeger videos because it is so long but I’m not taking the test for a bit. Should I worry that I’m only getting 50% of the questions right? Or should I use it as a learning experience and learn more off the MCQs?

    Thanks

    FAR 62, 66, 78
    AUD 66, 55, 74, 72
    BEC 79
    REG

You should worry if your test is tomorrow.

But if you've got about a 2-3 week cushion you should be fine. If you're scoring really low on MCQ's, I'd advise reviewing the material once more just to make sure you have an understanding of the material.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

Are you using the Wiley Books like they do in Yeager Videos? I would read the chapter and take more notes after watching the video and taking notes form the video. I think that helped me better understand the material. And the Wiley book questions are good too. I haven't used gleim since college but if you have the wiley books from the yeager course go through those questions too.

Can you pinpoint your weak areas? With Wiley I would take testlets (30MCQs each) on each topic, which quickly honed in on my weak areas.

    Ninja + Wiley Test Bank: [FAR - 81] [REG - 76] [BEC - 88] [AUD - 73](doh!)

    Becker Videos: [AUD - 82]

I'm doing 20 question testlets but I get a lot wrong on all of them. I'm thinking its a learning stage to get them wrong but as I'm getting them wrong I'm starting to get mad at myself.

It's completely normal to score 50% on your testlets…and get mad about it. That happens to me during almost every section I'm studying. It just means you need to continue working more MCQ's (the ones you haven't seen yet) and I would suggest that you go through the textbook and make notes of all the main topics, just to cement your understanding.

If there is a certain area you are really whiffing on, go back to the textbook and study it. Then answer more MCQ's (even a Sim if available) regarding that area. I would continue doing this until you are pretty competent with each chapter.

Time consuming? Yes. But the payoff is HUGE.

Btw, I used Gleim, and wasn't too happy with it, so I switched to Yaeger and find it more useful.
