    Hi All,

I just gave my BEC on 11/28. I was wondering when can I expect the score to be released?? Thanks and by the way, I have read a lot of blogs here about Becker review for BEC. My experience was diff. It did prepare me well for the exam. I did see some questions that seem to come from no where but I guess that would be the same case no matter what review you are taking. Just my two cents…

I took BEC on 11/28, too, and totally agree with you. I felt well-prepared by Becker, even over-prepared, but there were definitely a couple questions I had to guess on (specifically one question about XBRL stuff). The Becker examples and homework problems were significantly more challenging than anything on my exam, which was a great feeling! (And no I don't work for Becker haha)

As for score release, Jeff predicted a while back that Wave 2 BEC will come out on 12/15. Still waiting on my AUD score from 10/2 so I sure hope I know both before Christmas

CPAGuru & Hoss – Thank you for your posts! I am taking BEC tomorrow – I have been using Becker and getting nervous based on the other negative reviews on using Becker for BEC!! You both made me feel better! Any last minute studying advice?

Also – How did you go on the Becker final exams?

consider yourselves lucky…. don't get me wrong, Beckers the best. I've used them for all four sections. However, I saw a lot of questions in IT, finance, and questions I don't even know what category u'd place them under that was not covered at all in Becker's materials. I remember I had one finance related question on BEC which I figured out only because I remember doing it in my MBA finance class haha- it wasn't talked about in Becker's material.

Overall though, majority of the questions were covered, I just hope I pass!

I guess I could have been lucky. But remember that a full 20% of your test could have been ungraded “pre-test” questions. So you probably did better than you think. It didn't seem like I had many out of left field though… Perhaps I lucked out in that most of my pre-test Q's were on material covered by Becker.

Do you have flashcards? I found them invaluable for cramming all that junk into my short-term memory (trust me, I remember next to nothing about FAR, REG, or AUD at this point). Otherwise, for last minute studying I'd just skim through every page of the textbook, re-read pass keys and summary tables, physically re-write mnemonics to hardcode them into your brain.

    Oh btw BostonCPA:

Forgot to reply about final exams: I actually never used any of the final exams. I felt like my method worked well without it (requires a lot of time though): After going through each lecture, I carefully read the book and did all the practice MCQs. Then, I re-read the entire book a second time and reworked all MCQs again.
