nray8211- I definately did not go back and read the chapters, but I did go to the to the book if I felt I just wasn't getting the full understanding of something. I, like you, took FAR first using Yaeger. I failed the first time, and detirmined that I simply did not do enough MC and SIM practice questions. I put in the time with the videos and notes, and I did the Yeager recommended MCs and SIMs. However, I did not do any additional ones. For my second attempt, I purchased the Wiley online test bank and added that to my arsonal. That did the trick. I went from a 60 to an 81.
For audit, I ended up going through the videos twice (because there are not that many as compared to FAR). I watched, took notes, attempted the MCs and SIMS before Gary gave the anwers, etc. At the same time, I would do daily sets of Wiley online MCs and SIMs (20-30 questions at a time) while at work. I would do a set in the morning before I started working, do a set on my lunch break, etc. I made sure to do many different combinations for my sets. Finally, I did all of the questions in the back of the Wiley book twice over (AICPA released and the Testlets) and made sure to hit the little AICPA practice exam in order to regain the feeling of the actual exam/software.
For me, the keys seem to be repetition and maximum exposure to a variety of problems. What I did sounds like a lot, but it was really very manageable. I did it over a 2 month period (which included Chrismas and all that) and lived a fairly normal existence. I wasn't locked away in a room, rejecting all social invitations, etc.
