Freaking out about FAR

Ok, I took the FAR exam on May 15th and this my LAST exam to pass. However, the waiting is KILLING me. The waiting isn’t anything new but I’m so stressed right now. I can’t bring myself to study “just in case” because my brain is fried. I’m afraid that I failed because I barely touched the 2nd sim. It was massive!! The first sim was fairly easy but the second sim had a total of 7 tabs….and every tab displayed the most unfamiliar topics. I barely touched the 2nd sim when I ran out of time. Another thing that concerns me is the MCQ didn’t seem overally difficult and the difficulty of each testlet didn’t seem to change. Does this mean I probably failed??

Is there still hope for me? The only thing that keeps me going is that I passed REG and didn’t finish sim #2.

One last whiny comment…..It really stinks that it takes 2 – 3 months to receive our scores – especially when it’s the last exam and the clock is ticking. By the time I receive my scores I will be within a few weeks of losing Audit. Which sucks. Oh, and to top things off I live in a SNAIL MAIL state. UGH.

Is there anybody out there that can relate to my situation? I really need some input.

    Thanks!

Relate? I may as well have wwritten your post. That 2nd sim has been haunting me since I sat on May 28th. I see it in the bathroom mirror staring back at me with all those blank spaces; I see it on the tv screen when I try to watch sportscenter. Overall the multilpe choce Qs were manageable…so did I fail? I think so, but I will gladly accept a passing grade if I get it. And this was my reward after waiting 6 weeks for my REG score. A 97!

FAR was my last exam and I felt the same way. I couldn't tell a difference in difficulty between the testlets. My first sim was bad only until I got to the 2nd one which was a killer. Try and relax and use the time however you'd like. Nothing you can do now will change your performance or make the scores get here faster.

FAR is a scary beast. You just have to take it one day at a time and try not to think about it in its entirety.

I am in the same boat as you. I took my AUD exam on May 28th. If I failed, my REG score expires on July 10th. I prefer not to think about the consequences of failing! Remember, we are all weeds that the AICPA would like to pull.

My “solution” was to do some more multiple choice questions after I returned from the exam and take a 2 week vacation! I did my job and now it is up to the AICPA to do their job. I am praying for myself and for all of you.
