Is it normal to feel like there are tons of reports, forms, and different rules that are applied to each of them? I feel like there are so many different kinds that it’ll be hard to remember all of them. I am on A2 and taking the test in 6 days. Any advice?

I took AUD with Becker, and I got the exact same score of 84 on my actual test as on my practice exam. And on my actual exam I probably lost a LOT of points on Comm. They were totally off the wall things that I STILL don't know the answer to… and I've TRIED to look them up. haha. But yeah- there are a lot of reports and rules for each, I just tried to generalize them into logical rules for each and that seemed to be enough. I don't know if you have the flash cards, but some of the Audit flashcards had literally paragraphs and paragraphs on the back. I just skipped over those everytime. Good luck!

    BEC- 85
    AUD- 84
    FAR- 91
    REG- 96

    Hi,

I feel your pain, as I just took AUD on 8/14, after studying with Becker's materials. I agree that A2 is loaded with reports. For the most part, remember that the exam is made up of mc questions, so focus on recognizing rather than memorizing. Try to grasp the big picture. I ended up making a few of my own tables for studying the reports in A2, as well as the reports on internal control, I believe in A5. I did feel overwhelmed by all of Becker's mnemonics and detail with this exam. I found that working on gaining an understanding of the material to be able to apply it was helpful. Remember that the audit field is loaded with judgment situations.

When you said you're on A2 now and taking the exam in 6 days, does that mean you haven't yet studied A3 – A5?

    FAR - 94 (7/10)
    AUD - 99 (8/20)
    REG - 99 (10/15)
    BEC - 88 (11/20)

I am using Becker, I am an awful memorizer…so I am praying I can recognize the things on the exam. I found Becker to be very overwhelming for BEC and I did awful on all the homework and didn't do so hot on the practice exams either. I found the exam to be “easier” than the stuff I did with Becker. I still don't have my results from BEC but hoping that the fact it felt “easier” shows in my score when it is finally released πŸ™‚

I have been studying a chapter a week and am spending two weeks on the final review for auditing. I did the same with BEC. I work full time but I don't know how some of you work full time and study everything in a matter of a couple weeks. That seems insane to me. But if it works for you, that's good! πŸ™‚

    BEC - 53, 67, retake 2/28/11
    AUD - 54, retake 05/28/11
    FAR - ?
    REG - ?
