First-Timer starting with FAR – help! - Page 2

    Hello,

    I’ve read several threads on this forum over the last several months and it has been encouraging to a point.

    I’m really worried about my exam this Friday – I took my practice exam on the computer and scored a 49 after 3.5 mos of studying.

    I’m feeling quite discouraged and have no idea what to expect. I’ve got the next few days off work and I’m trying to study hard but it seems impossible. I am really having a hard time understanding how one is supposed to retain all this information!

    Any help/suggestions/encouragement is greatly appreciated!

    The ninja videos for FAR were AMAZING! I would definitely recommend them. During the exam, I could hear Jeff in my head. The ninja audio was also amazing! Well, just get the whole ten point combo lol. The notes were great too.

    Once I schedule an exam, is there any way to change which exam I want to take? For example, I've scheduled REG for November but would like to change it to FAR. It looks like the only thing I can change is the date/time…

    @scubacamper – Lots of people fail at least one. Super common for the 1st one to be a fail, b/c you have no idea what it's like, until you've been through it. Don't let it shake you…just don't study that same way 🙂 Exact thing happened to me.

    I'm not sure that you can get a refund on REG once you've paid for it.

    Oh, I meant to mention that I'm using CPAExcel. I added Ninja Audio after my FAR failure…it's helped on all my other exams immensely.
