    Hey everyone!

As a new member of the site, just wanted to say congratulations to all who have passed the exam, and good luck to all who are currently studying for it. I just finished chapter 2 of the Becker materials for FAR, and I wanted to share my study strategy with everyone. Any advice is welcome!

My story is that I am starting work in September, and I decided to try and get FAR out of the way before I start working. I am currently not working at all, and my study schedule is as follows (using Becker):

I watch the lecture and review all my notes (7-8 hour)

The next day I do all of the practice questions and sims (4-5 hours, I find that I am going through the MCQ’s too quickly) I also take notes on all of the questions I get wrong and make them into flashcards (2 hours)

I plan to do this for 20 days and then the final 10 days before the exam, I plan to review my flash cards, all my notes, and take the 2 Becker final exams. I always have an uneasy feeling while studying because of the sheer volume of the material, but I have just taken an advanced financial accounting course and I remember most of the topics. Let me know what you guys think!

Hi I studied FAR full time for 3 weeks and just took it 2 days ago. I prepared using Becker and am almost 100% sure I passed

    AUD - 5/2013 91
    FAR - 7/2013 92
    BEC - 8/2013 90
    REG - 8/2013

Congrats! Did you find that the test was similar to the practice questions in Becker? To be honest, I am not scoring as well as I hoped on the practice questions…

Is this normal to be able to cover all the material in a month? I just can't imagine how I could do it. I would need breaks every few hours. Is it possible with CPAexcel? CPAexcel has 236 mini lessons and has two big textbooks. I just don't see how you could manage to cover all that material in such short time.

    BEC - 84, 4/6/13
    AUD - 77, 5/28/13
    REG - 83, 4/12/14
    FAR - 83, 10/3/13

    Ethics - 90% 4/24/13

    Hi Calicpa,

At first i thought it would be too much as well, but since I am not working, I can effectively spend most of my day studying… I've heard from most people that 150 hours is sufficient enough to cover all the material and it seems I will meet that goal. But that doesn't mean I will pass the exam. It's my first try and I am still very nervous about it…
