Tomorrow is my first day at a mid market accounting firm. How should I dress?

Several people have told me to wear a suit.

Others have told me to dress business casual, as that is the dress code at the office for level 1 associates.

Any help would be appreciated!

BTW, I’m a girl.

If it were me (i'm a girl) I would wear business casual but something dressy business casual. Maybe a skirt if you are comfortable in that. If you wear a suit it might look more like your in for an interview instead of your first day. In either event error on the side of being more dressy than not. Good luck!!

Business casual.. I would say a skirt and a blouse, or pants and blouse. Not too dressy, you will likely be tucked away with the HR person for most of the day anyway… GOOD LUCK!
