I took FAR earlier today, I don’t know what/how to feel about it.

Here’s the breakdown:

Testlet 1: Not too bad, marked few questions. Mostly conceptual with few computation problems.

Testlet 2: Similar as 1 with few more tricky/long questions. Still majority was conceptual rather than computation.

Testlet 3: Similar as above two, mostly conceptual.

It was a very straightforward test, which isn’t a good sign to me. Maybe I didn’t so well thus my testlets never got REALLY hard and lacked long computational problem.

I finished MCQs with 2:08 left, took a break for 5mins and had about 2hrs to finish SIMs.

Once again, SIMs weren’t too bad…5/7 were pretty straightforward while other two weren’t hard, but required computation. Research question took FOREVER, but luckily I was able to find it. Though SIMs weren’t horrible, I must’ve made stupid mistakes.

All the conceptual questions made me glad that I had read the Becker book couple times, however, I’m sad that I didn’t get any computational problems…Did I really do that horrible? AHH:( So sad.

Well, I’m going to take few days off then start BEC. FAR will have to wait(:

Thank you! But I honestly don't know…I'm just nervous because my testlets barely had computational problems. It was mainly conceptual, is that normal? Does that usually happen? I had that happen to me in my last retake of REG, it was mainly blaw, and very less tax related compuational problems. It turned out well for REG…crossing fingers for this one!

I think people underestimate the importance of the SIMs

if you feel confident on 5/7, then I am sure you'll pass. I didn't know didely squat on any of my SIMs for example and most definitely failed.

I think I understood them and I think I may have done them right. They were fairly straightforward, but it doesn't mean I got them right.

I'm going to stop thinking about it and enjoy my next few days! We studied, gave our best and now it's up to God, luck, or any other factor you believe in:!)

I take it in 3 hours…my heart is going a mile a minute right now. I've never been more prepared for these tests than I am for FAR, and yet somehow I'm more nervous.
