Hello,

I finally passed FAR on the fourth try! Which section do you recommend I sit for next? I was thinking REG because there is some similar material from FAR. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Also I use Becker but have 2011 study materials. Will they still be good for 2012? How much could change?

I'd recommend taking REG, then AUD and finish with BEC.

I'm saying do REG now because the partnership knowledge will help and you wanna get this beast out of the way while you still have some fight left in you. I completely regret not taking REG first or second because it takes everything out of me to study it. To me, AUD and BEC are much easier in comparison to FAR & REG. Get the nastiness out of the way first.

i say if you like audit, then do REG, if you like tax/business law, then do AUD. that just me, i love to save the easy for last. i absolutely hate audit so that is why im doing that first, but failed with a 74 🙁 good luck!!

@Ih8Cpa: Assuming you have no constraints, time or otherwise, I would recommend not saving REG for last. It's a tough one and pretty long as well. Aside from taxes, the remainder of business law is somewhat logical (or you can at least make sense of the concepts). BEC and AUD are easy, relatively speaking. The materials are much shorter, but don't expect any section to be a breeze.

Short answer, if it were me, I would choose REG next. Since you have about 6 weeks until early Jan it would be a good time to get that in during a blackout month. BEC and AUD require significantly less total study hours. Good luck!
