As the topic implies, I just started watching Roger’s FAR review videos and they literally sound like jibberish to my ears. Don’t get me wrong, section 1 and 2 were okay. I’m on section 4 now and section 3 …I’m already re-evaluating how to study for this exam. Any suggestions? Any one can relate? Help

I'm tired of operating in fear and mediocrity. It's time to try. It's time to do. It's time to go.

While I wouldn't call all of Roger's videos “jibberish”, some of them definitely are. We were just discussing this on another thread or two yesterday.
The general consensus about Roger is that he's very good for more advanced students who need only a quick recap of the topics. If there's anything worse than some of his lectures, it's his insane textbooks. I know of at least one person who sold some of their Roger access (textbooks and perhaps access to the vids and practice questions) to someone else. I listened to every single lecture of his for FAR and AUD, and they didn't help me much overall. I got way more out of working the practice questions. You may wanna just skip the videos altogether. Some of them are really quite bad.

    Anyone else care to disagree?

BTW I see in your signature line that you did FAR on 7/12/17 (my birthday!) Did you take it then or are you taking it soon?

Skim through the book/notes so you know what to expect. Do MCQs, read the explanations, and then watch the videos when you come across a topic that is extremely foreign to you. Once you get through the majority of the material at least once, then go back to the areas you are struggling with the most and drill it in as much as possible.

After you do a high level review of what to expect (basically a “dry run”), it will all start coming together the second time you go through the material.
