rvcpaMemberI've seen alot of people mentioning how they averaged about 15 pts higher on the exam than they did in WTB, any truth to that?

john12Memberagree with all the above, they say becker is harder than actual exam and from my experience wiley is def harder than becker.. whats tough for me is that i am so close to exam day that when i get a question wrong on wiley i start freaking out as opposed to using it as a learning experience.. can't help it just the way i am.. im hoping that, that 15 point rule is true.

rvcpaMember@john12 I'm really hoping myself. My exam is not until the end of feb but averaging 60's on WTB is scary.

ziebaParticipantWTB > Becker garbage MCQ's. Oh yes, this is true.
Switched entirely to WTB for retest. I am loving the conceptual approach instead of that adapted confusing garbage (sorry, just had enough of badly written questions that took forever to slog through). Not every adapted MCQ needs to be a drawn out computation. Some part of this is concept recognition and pin point testing, instead of fishing for a computational error. In my experience test day MCQ's were similar to WTB. I've also come to realize that very little calculating needs to be done on the actual MCQ's (by design). If you get a topic, it's obvious, the numbers often times are just a distractor.
I am just now getting to the point where I truly understand certain concepts instead of trying to memorize rules. Things like the different exchange rates used for transl/transact -ions.. income vs. balance, spot/weighted. If you think about it and get it conceptually… you don't need a whole sheet of rules. There's a reason to this madness.
I'm currently getting 75-80's in WTB on 3/5th's of the material (first four to five becker chapters). I have a month to go before my retake. My plan is to study the remaining five chapters (I did better than average in GOVT/NFP) so I have 5,6,7,10 to go (Becker chapters).
I am a huge fan of WTB and NINJA audio (I commute by car, mp3 disc is melted into the head unit).
Now, let's hope this translates to a pass end of February. The one thing which keeps me up at night is that I still don't “know” my JE's. I know some basic ones, and I can solve questions which they claim need a T account to resolve. That said, my previous FAR exams did not have any JE's sims (if the forum will believe that).
AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
BEC - 74 , 77
REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
FAR - 69 , 75Dr: perseverance

AnonymousInactiveSame boat but quite nervous, I score between 72-75 if I do mixed questions from different sections (previously wrong) but on blocks of questions on one subject only I get horrible 60-67. I am not sure what to make of it other than I have long way to go. Suppose at least I'm learning from what I get wrong. Anyone have such a mixed bag:/
