I am sitting for FAR in November. I am using Beckers 2011 material to study. I only have 2011 material to study for all the other sections as well. Is this crazy?

I wouldn't do that if I were u. There have been changes to gaap since 2011. For example, classification of fund balance in governmental funds. Something as important as the exam, it's worth it to cough up the dough. Don't have to use Becker though. I used a $60 Wiley book and passed first attempt.

Same here, i used the 2011 Becker for all the three sections and checked for the updates from Wiley 2012 books(bought from amazon for less than $40)………FAR will be my last section in NOV and i am doing the sme thing…
