I’ve been noticing doing the Becker MCQs that the quantitative questions I spend upwards of 3 mins answering, well above the 1.5 mins usually recommended. Anyone else slow like me when it comes to these questions?

The conceptual stuff that doesnt require much calculation I usually bang out in 30 secs or less though, so I guess that stuff evens out in the end?

No need to be concerned. On the actual exam, you'll find that:

    1) Many of the problems involving calculations are easier than your typical calculation problem using Wiley or Becker. I am quite methodical when doing these questions and had no issues on FAR in terms of time.

    2) Many of the questions have nothing to do with calculations and you can answer them in 15-30 seconds.

Out of the two sections that I have done thus far, I was extremely comfortable with the amount of time given in FAR. I took a very relaxed 10 minute break between two of the sections, and had plenty of time for the simulations and to finish. My time management on BEC was poor however; perhaps it was because it was the first time that I had sat for a part and I didn't even do a full simulated exam beforehand, but I actually finished typing my last word on the written communications when 2 seconds remained on the clock. I didn't even have time to click “finish exam”. 🙂

@InterFC1 Thanks for this comment, I was wondering exactly the same about the time.
