Anyone taking/ took FAR this week – have any last minute tips?

I take it tomorrow! I'm trying to learn 6 out of Becker's 9 chapters in the next 12 hours. I don't know a single thing about Governmental/Non-Profit accounting at this point. Short term memory will be my best friend tomorrow.

You need to study Governmental and Non-profit- they are about 20% of the Exam! don't take the test without studying those modules!

You need governmental/not-for-profit, It was a hugeee part of my exam. I had to do a governmental statement of cash flows for one of my SIMS to give you an idea. Oh yeah, and I had to do governmental journal entries.

From what I understand it is generally the same as 2011. What I have heard from my peers and also during my own test experience, most of the test are across the board. I know for sure people have had IFRS stuff and Governmental/not-for-profit. The rest really depends on how lucky you are haha.

I took it yesterday and I'm still in shock. MCQs killed me without mercy. Everyone who takes FAR says that GNFP is heavily tested, but I had 5 total at the most. Some topics I could not even identify. Some questions seemed easy at first, but once I got into them, they tore me apart. While working on the 2nd testlet I was literally laughing because I already knew there was no way I would pass this thing. I can certainly tell you that at least, at least 1/3 of my exam was IFRS.

Got to the sims, looked at them and felt totally helpless. Research question was very vague, I got to the paragraph about the topic, but could not find anything better, so maybe I got that one right. I lsat there for like 20 minutes just thinking about how dumb I was, then I just decided to move on. 5 of the sims were doable, but I'm pretty sure I made some mistakes. I had one IFRS sim which I'm pretty sure I'm bombed. I felt like a 1st grader taking Calculus..lol
