If I wanted to study FAR using just a textbook (& of course MCQs), which text would you recommend? I was looking at:
    – Gleim
    – Becker
    – Roger
    – Wiley

I used Becker for FAR and although the textbooks are comprehensive, a significant portion of what you learn is through the videos. For example, Becker provides ratios in the book but the meaning of the ratios, helpful ways to remember, and different ways to calculate are in the videos. The book is useful though, especially the pass keys and the problem examples and solutions provided.

I zoned out during 99% of Becker lectures. Their book has everything you need to know, including some multiple choice questions which I think are the most helpful tool you can use. That said, I can't attest to the effectiveness of JUST the book because I did every Becker multiple choice question online and I think that was what helped me remember the information the most.

The Wiley cpaexcel book is overkill and a great bargain, it includes a ton of questions, too.

    A - 81 (4.18.16)

Gleim is also overkill. Way too much information. I didn't know what I needed to know after reading the chapter.
