Just finished reviewing Current assets and liabilities… should be ok there lol. On to PV, Bonds and Leases – I think I have a decent handle there too. Lots of MC for me tomorrow and sunday… Honestly I am not used to being done my videos with so much time to review, its wierd.

@cpajourney – as much as I just wanna be done with this BS once and for all…I think I have already run out of steam from my 3rd time sitting for BEC in mid July…I may have bitten off a little more than I can chew. Depreciation: SYD, DDB, 150DB, SL, MACRS. Anything other than MACRS for book purposes will result in a deferred tax benefit/liability.

Depreciation of a leased asset: Under a capital lease the lessee will depreciate the asset using either the assets expected economic useful life or the term of the lease. This depends on whether the reason for capitalizing the lease is due to (1) transfer of ownership (2) Bargain purchase (3) >90% FMV or (4) 75% of the assets estimated life. If (1) or (2) depreciate over the assets est. life, if (3) or (4) depreciate over the lease term.

Nonmonetary exchanges:

Commercial substance: book any gain/loss using fmv asset received – fmv consideration given.

Lacks commercial substance: Do not book gains unless money is received. If money received is <25%, book proportional gain. If money received is >25%, book all gain. Record new asset at CV of old asset.
