AnonymousInactivewell, i lived and the beast lived
my testlets did not get harder and the sims were doable but time consuming – Completed the first sim but on the 2nd one left 1 tab blank and only partially answered another – just ran out of time. I had just figured out what to do and the test timed out sigh ;( May have been too brief on the WC we will see. Just relieved to have finished the test.
Agree there was nothing that was not covered in the review material – just wish more of the material had stuck!

FARSUXCPAParticipantChecking in after the exam.
First testlet was easy
Second testlet was hard.
Third testlet was insanely difficult. Guessed some – one minus
The simulations were ok. Left a WC blank – two minuses
Now for the long wait. Good luck to you guys.
DONE!

sounds like you did well – shame abount running out of time. Hard to know how time to allow for each sim.

FARSUXCPAParticipantGood luck to you cpa journey. As someone mentioned the questions may have seemed easy because you know it all. I know people who passed with high scores who said the testlets were moderate. A lot of people don't finish FAR me included so let's keep the hopes up. Trevor, MPoni, CPA journey, good luck to you guys, and I'll check back with you guys during score release. 20-25 days, hopefully less. Until then forget the beast, relax, get plenty of rest and enjoy life.
DONE!

oobaisiParticipantI just got out of my exam, and I got dominated. My sims were all calculations, no drop downs. Testlets got easier as I went, not a very good sign….

IdrathergolfParticipantOobaisi, I felt like my third testlet was easier than my second testlet. My third testlet actually had a number of questions that were similar to questions I saw on the first testlet. What does this mean? I have no idea. It may just mean that some of the same subjects were tested in two different testlets and I had them down pat.
My second testlet was more difficult than the first. I attribute this to the fact that there were 5 questions on a subject that I really struggled with. I had to go back to those questions THREE times. I would spend a minute or two on each, not make any progress, and move on. Come back, not make much progress, move on….. repeat a third time.
I feel like I did really well on my written communications, but the other tabs (especially the second sim) I have absolutely no idea. I got maybe 1/2 right on the first and 1/3 right on the second.
It is difficult for me to determine what is considered a “hard” question and what is considered “easy”. For example, the AICPA may consider a one liner about NFP an “easy” testlet question while calculating something like Pension Cost a “hard” testlet question. I may have Pensions down pat but really struggle with NFP. It is definitely subjective as to what is easy and what is hard! If you calculate net pension liability 50 times it is going to be a breeze regardless of the “difficulty” of figuring the amount.

MPoni123ParticipantGood evening everybody!! Got done with the exam about 2 1/2 hours ago. Got back home…watched tv with my boyfriend and ate some Subway! Soooo happy the exam is OVER WITH. During the exam I felt that it would never end.
My exam experience – first testlet…felt good about. I don't remember struggling on many. The second testlet – the first 10 – 15 I was like oooh man so skipped to the end and worked my way backwards, and those were easier lol. My third testlet – REALLY?! Now I don't know if the testlets seemed “harder” because I was unfamiliar with the material or because the questions were legit “hard.” (might be a mixture of both) lol but I tried going to the end of the 3rd testlet and work my way backwards again and I still struggled!
SIMs – first one wasn't too too bad…WC was ok meaning I answered it and did a decent job I think. Second SIM – didn't finish a few of the tabs because I ran out of time. Went RIGHT to the WC and nailed that one (I hope that is the one graded). I guessed on both Research Tabs and definitely got them wrong. Both were on weird topics.
So….now we wait until September!!

MPoni123ParticipantI hope I did well! I have a feeling that the MCQs got “harder” for me because I had no effin clue what they were asking lol. It definitely feels nice to not have to do anything until scores come out. I am kind of excited/nervous at the same time – looking forward to frantically checking scores with all of you! The next 3 weeks will fly by I think…maybe a little too soon!

IdrathergolfParticipantMPoni… I waited… It's September… now what?
Thats great that you feel confident about your performance on the exam! I can't say the same. It was also difficult for me to determine the difficulty of the second and third testlet because I got caught up on the one topic which had multiple questions in the 2nd testlet.
What worried me about the exam is that I a question on the first and third testlet that was almost word for word. But.. like you said…. nothing to do now except wait (and golf, and workout, and enjoy life a little)!

MPoni123ParticipantYep the exam is outta our hands now!! I definitely don't feel confident with my performance…I am just glad I was able to finish most of the exam and especially the WCs because I know they are worth a lot.
I had a similiar experience as well….I had like 8 MCQs on the same topic, which of course I didn't know how to do!

IdrathergolfParticipantAlso,
I looked up a topic that I had 2 questions on in the 2nd testlet and missed them both, but I **think** i got the 3-4 that I really struggled on with another topic!
