Idrathergolf I usually read posts from folks that say they guessed alot in this exam and still passed. I have tried to figure out have guessing can make you pass. Not with this kind of exam. Whats your take on that story line.

Welcome millerg! 🙂 You are lucky to have FAR over with!! I think the ones who still have left to take it are freaking out (Well, I know I am!) Maybe the reason you didn't think they were getting impossible was because you actually knew the material?!

Saying the testlets got “harder” I think is very subjective because you may have just had a really good understanding of the material that you didn't notice the testlets getting harder, but in fact they were!

How were your SIMs?

Maybe…however after a test like that my confidence is definitely low.

The SIMS I think were very difficult. I spent way too much time on the first one and didn't complete the second one. I answered the WC on both and was filling in random numbers on the 2nd. Hopefully they grade the first one, although I kept thinking they made that one more difficult so I would not have enough time on the 2nd.

Who knows at this point?

I wish I knew what “difficult” meant to each person.

Whonis – I think they were making “educated guesses” and with A and D being the answer only 20% of the time and B and C 30%…if they weren't guessing on 95% of their exam then who knows. The candidates probably knew more than they thought..OR they had like 18 pretest questions and those were they ones they guessed on

Florida_Candidate am so worried about this exam at this point. Tell me a little more about your experience, I know you cried in this exam but seriously how did those MCQ's go for you??

millerg – I would just take a few days to regroup and then focus your attention on AUD. FAR is out of your hands now and with the AICPA gods haha so try to let it go and wait for your score 🙂

P.S. Both sims get graded – only one of the WCs gets graded however

Sorry for the delay… I actually have to close my laptop to read through my notes or else I look up every 3-5 minutes!!

I think MPoni is right. I would assume “guessing” entails narrowing the answer choices down and making an educated guess between two answers, OR it is a pre-test question. I remember 2-3 questions on BEC that I completely guessed on, I mean I couldn't even begin to deduct/work through the problem. I was about 95% sure that they were pretest questions but I was still mad I didn't know the answer!

It wouldn't surprise me tomorrow if I have to “guess” on a number of questions. With such a short amount of study time going into the test (60 hours) I have general concepts somewhat down but I have not completely mastered them. I will be able to narrow down the answer selections but not be 100% sure.

On the note of crying during the exam. If I am going to cry, I am going to cry like a champ. If you hear someone in the testing center sound like this guy you know who it is:

For some reason I am afraid to cry or show much emotion. Fear of emotion leads to anger. Most of the time I leave the test in a fit of rage! It explains why I drive in complete silence for 30 minutes and then go to the driving range to be all by myself.

LMAO @ Idrathergolf! That video is too funny! I would say the expendables or even “dinner for schmucks” I would definitely wanna go see a comedy. No scary movies for me thank you!! Although it would probably make you feel better watching people getting eaten by large fish haha after your exam.

I definitely anticipate guessing on the MCQs. I am sure I can narrow it down to 2…but doesn't everybody narrow it down to 2?!

Looks like it is just you (Idrathergolf) and me left for the night!! I will be up probably for a few more hours. I wanna get through some MCQs for the bigger sections (investments, inventory) can't remember any other ones at the moment lol. I almost just wanna call it a night now because I know I am getting tired and just wake up earlier than normal tomorrow (like 10 or 11) and just do a bunch of MCQs for like 3 hours.
