If they are using a computer why do they only grade one of the essays? This whole grading thing is stupid. So if they use a machine, I guess I just could've put some key words down and be done with it? That's not fair cause I wrote some nice page long memorandums, a human better read it!

They only grade one because the other one is a “pretest” simulation that they are debating on using in the future. They're choice of actually using it comes down to how well people responded to it on the exam.

Hmmm I dunno about that. I thought that all the SIMS were graded and only one WC was graded. Not everybody gets new sims either (because if you did, you are automatically bumped to Wave 2) and not every FAR candidate is bumped to Wave 2 so they clearly did not get a new sim…that is my understanding of it

Well seems how you guys went to bed only 5 hours ago I may be alone for a while.

@Idrathergolf, wow 300 hrs.. (golf clap).. I wish I had that much dedication… I do not think I have passed 200, though you do have 1 more section complete than I do. I am def. excited for Tuesday to be over, but at the same time want to pass so I do not have to go through it again…

Studying today at work (only here for an emergency really), have to get a couple of things done – but shouldn't be too bad. Glad to be working under a recent CPA test taker!

Just read all the talk above about how the exams are graded…. What do you think about on the SIMS, do they give partial credit….like if there is a J/E and you got the debit & credit accounts filled out but didn't have time to complete all of the amounts…?

@Connie, I would certainly think it is possible… I would think that they program correct answers per fill spot into the computer, each one being worth so many points. That's my thought…

Agree with Trevor – a few people posted that their sims had a lot of blanks to fill in – there most likely are pooints for accounts and amounts

Yea I think that it is one of my weaker sections also… It's next on my list (after gov't), I get them for the most part but really need to focus on what is included in each section…

same here – with a little bit of review the cash flows can be mastered I think

with the govt – so much duplication – only have partial notes ;( that may take a bit longer
