I scored 74 on nfp…. And now that I remember, there were a few question on which I had doubts and they were all nfp…. Study those (and govt), it's a sure thing on the exam and could be up to 24% of your score.

@Mponi, sounds good.. this is a nice spot. I take my exam in the morning on Tuesday (8:00), also only have nights to study, been up till about 12:00 the last 3 nights… not fun. Make sure it is Green Mountain Coffee!!! Do you have a Keurig?? lol, I drink 2 cups every night when I get home so I am nice and awake for studying.

    Coffee!!! Aaaahhhhh!!

I have been cramming like an animal! Covering 1 Becker chapter a day (lectures and regular MCQ) since Tuesday. My brain feels like it is about to explode! I still have pensions and deferred taxes to cover today.

Id imagine that come Tuesday I will need coffee just to feel normal. I have been drinking coffee from 8a-11p the past few days. I will have Becker 6 completed by tomorrow morning then it is just 7-9 by midday Monday.

How is everyone else doing? I don't feel stressed (low expectations) but I definitely feel overwhelmed by the material. My goal right now is to just understand the main points of each topic and hope that carries me through to a 75!!

I have an italian espresso machine that I insisted to be included in my severance package when my last company shut down its US offices.

I can easily have 5 or 6 espresso a day, but hey, I grew up with those.

Starbucks is like water for me….

Also, I can have an espresso and fall asleep 10 minutes later. My wife instead has a strict caffeine cutoff at 5pm or otherwise it'll be insomnia!

Starbucks… Blah “Bad Coffee” as it says on the cups on NCIS. Green Mountain far surpasses anything that Starbucks can do.

    @italianCPA where are you from?

Just looked, LA and NYC… wide range. Well Green Mountain still doesn't have the potency as espresso, but there espresso blend is still good.

@Financeguy – thanks for the tip. I actually feel very comfortable with gov't accounting and NFP. I also think because those were the last 2 modules with Yaeger, those are the most fresh in my head. I am actually very scared of inventory and calculating the different methods. I feel that those would take me a week alone to master.

@DrSmith – I know that for the state of MA your score report does NOT tell you what areas you did well in and which ones you were weak in ONLY if you passed. (it does break it down if you failed, though) Honestly, I don't care what areas I was weak in or not…as long as I passed! lol

@Trevor – I actually drink coffee from a local bagel place we have here. I am not a fan of Dunkin Donuts coffee and I don't even know where there is a Starbucks coffee around here. Probably close…used to be one in our local mall, but it closed.

@Idrathergolf – I feel the same way that you do. I am just hoping to have a general idea of all the main topics and hopefully that brings me to a 75 or higher. I am reading SO MANY posts on there that people who have felt “prepared” and think they failed end up getting 80s or higher. Sooo…maybe for people who feel a little less prepared = a 75? lol I like that equation.

@italianCPA – I have been to Italy once and it is beautiful!! I am 1/4 Italian (my last name is Italian) and it is awesome..I definitely wanna go back. I went to Pompei (sp?), Rome, Naples, Venice…few other places I can't remember lol.

My B-School had an exchange program with ASU so I took some classes there, but I always liked the US since I first visited in 2000 with a friend of mine for vacation.

Then I took a couple of internships in New York (one in the WTC which I ended on Sep 5, 2001), finished school in Italy, looked for a job, got hired over the phone, got a work visa and came here, never moved back. I went through so many visas, green card, and I have been a US citizen since last november. I've been through so much burocracy that I could easily be an immigration lawyer!

italianCPA – did you learn to speak English in Italy? I am sure you did since the first time you were here was in 2000 for vacation! Your English is far better than 95% of natural born citizens in this country lol 🙂

    MPoni,

Well it wasn't so good in my AUD written communication which was graded “weaker” than the avg of people passing with grades between 75 and 80.

I got “comparable” in the FAR one though! 🙂

I studied English in school but I learned it for real when I lived here.

I still have some kind of accent, but nobody ever complained (especially the ladies lol)

    Financeguy:

Yeah, and I flew back to Italy the day after. Nobody died on my floor (65th of the north tower) but it took me weeks to find out and I was freaking out!
