Hey everybody! I sit for FAR on 8/31 (Tuesday) and I finished with the Yaeger homestudy yesterday. This is my plan for the next 5 days…

Since there are technically 25 modules in Yaeger (because some of them have a, b, c. etc)…I was planning on tackling 5 modules a day – doing the MCQs and reviewing my notes, etc. Then on Tuesday…the day of my exam, just reviewing everything and maybe doing some more MCQs in areas I don't feel strong in. (my exam isn't until 5:30 p.m.)

What do you guys think? Any suggestions? Different approaches?! I wasn't planning on reviewing any of the Sims or WCs in Yaeger either because I know on the exam they won't be the same…

    Thanks in advance.

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

Thanks, Michelle!!! LOL that is kinda the problem..I feel like I have relaxed a little too much lately while waiting on BEC scores and finding out I passed…just hoping that my strategy will be enough for me to retain all this freaking information!

My advice is to not study too much the day OF the exam, go get a massage, a banana split and take a nap 🙂 just relax and enjoy the fact that you've studied so hard!

    FAR-91 (7/29)
    AUD-99 (8/23)
    BEC-90 (10/1)
    REG-99 (11/3)

lol nice michelle! that was nice of your parents 🙂 whatever helps destress you! Try to focus on AUD now! Even though you just received two passing scores – awesome!

@ Florida Candidate – thanks, but I actually always study the day OF my exam…I have for my other 3. I think that destresses me just reinforcing concepts and formulas, etc.

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

My FAR exam is at 5 pm. I have the day off, and am planning to study a little, but, not the entire day. I am planning for a nap. Hopefully, it will work out for me. LOL> I too study the day OF the exam. It does make me feel a little more prepared. Course, I was the one that would stay up all night the night before an exam in college. It always seemed to help back then (10 years ago).

    REG - 85
    BEC - 79
    AUD - 82
    FAR - 87

MPoni – Sounds like you have a good plan.

I am freaking out because my exam is tomorrow….I've gone through a whole range of emotions this week, from “there's too much info and I haven't studied enough!”….to “yeah, I know this and I'm gonna pass and be done!”…..

My 12 year old son downloaded a virus along with his music yesterday, so it took my laptop out of commission for 3 hours while my hubby fixed everything! Luckily no lasting damage there.

I'm going to put a good 7-8 hours in today, then order pizza for dinner and try to relax a little. Tomorrow I will re-read my notes in the parking lot before my exam at noon……

Oh man… FAR review, “How sweet it is” OR NOT!!! MPoni I am still of course in the same boat as you, finished the modules on Tuesday and last night I tried to review some. I did MCQ's from module 7A,B,C, and D… and reviewed my notes in Module 8. There is seriously too much info, luckily some of the stuff has stuck, but looking back through I keep asking myself “is that my handwriting? I don't remember that…” its a terrible feeling. And here is a question, do we seriously have to know how to account for an error? or just know that there are two types? in 90 MCQ's I can think of FAR (lol) more importnant things to test on. sorry just rambling lol. keep me posted on where you stand and I'll do the same.

    BEC: 73,81(7/6/2010); AUD: 75(5/24/2010); FAR: 76(8/31/2010); REG: 77 (10/18/2010) - DONE!!!!

@ jenn – I used to do the same thing in school – always prepare the night before the exam and cram! lol

@Connie – GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!! please let us know how you made out!

@Trevor – you got further than I did! lol I am going to start my review today and after talking with a friend I am actually going to try and get through 6 modules a day so I have more time on the backend ya know? That way, I will finish with everything by Sunday night and have Monday and Tuesday to review everything. I doubt they will ask us how to account for an error – my guess is just a theory question on it (but who freakin knows!) going to get a coffee now and dive into the material. (it is afterall 1 p.m.!) Maybe we can keep in touch in this forum because the main FAR one is jam packed with score release posts

Do you have Jeff's notes? If not I would get them right away for the governmental accounting…they are golden. I didn't read the book at all on government or NFP, and ended up scoring 84 and 80 on those sections. I was scared of them at first, but imo if you get the basics of them down (which is pretty easy to do, especially w/ Jeff's notes) you can get some easy points on the exam. Both those sections combined qualify for about 20% of the exam.

    AUD - 81, BEC - 74, 80, FAR - 82, REG - 81
