If you are using Roger CPA, I would recommend you do the MC first. If you run into any that you don't know what to do, then you specifically go back to THAT section to read about that question. I think the chapter contain too much information, most of them you rarely see in the test.
Well, it also depends which section you are taking. If you are doing AUD / BEC, I would say you have plenty of time and you can do either way.
You also want to consider how much you know about the material already. If it is 50%, then I don't even think you should read the chapter. If you read the chapter, let say you spent 30 minute, since you already know about half of the stuff, you are technically only learning about 15 mins of stuff and the other 15 mins goes to waste. What you already learn you will not going to forget, once you practice the question you will remember it easily.
I also think your schedule is very difficult, assuming you work full time or study full time. A 3 hours and 45 min study each day (for 6 days?). By 7:30 PM your brain will be sleepy. If you dig into the questions by 8PM, you won't find your brain functioning. You will get stuck on questions, then be angry. Once you are angry, you can't study.
I would say if you really want to go for 3 hours study, do your questions by sections. Or maybe do every 30 questions and then read the book.
Personally, I think 1-2 hours per day is good enough…. 6 days a week. I only did 100 MCQ per day and manage to pass.
Useful tips: If you can't figure out why the answer is A. Google it! Copy the question on Google and it will probably tell you why. If not, YouTube about it!
