I’m planning to take far in February 2011. I ordered now and then program of yeager review. Now the problem is that I want to start study but doesn’t have any material. Yeager people said that it will take another week or so. What should I do in meantime? I know its a beast of all so it would need more time.

Any suggestions????

I am waiting on State approval by the time i am planning to prepare for FAR but becker material is not available yet .

Other than the format and IFRS the bulk of what FAR is all about will not significantly change. It's still bonds, still leases, still pensions, govt and NFP, etc. You can still use your 2010 material for that.

If you do not have your study materials for FAR 2011, start answering the questions on CPA Review for Free. FAR just never ends and it takes the most time to study. Do not waste any time waiting for your materials.

Has anyone else gone through cpareviewforfree questions in their preparation for FAR? If you have, can you please let me know if they are adequate preparation for the actual questions seen on the exam. Thanks.

I used CPA Review for Free on all of my exams. Joe Hoyle claims that CPA Review for Free is enough to pass the CPA exams. However, I was never that brave. I need a teacher! I used Yaeger's FAR Home Study for FAR and I used CPA Review for Free as a supplement to questions in the Wiley book that Yaeger uses.

I think cpareviewforfree.com is awful. The questions are way too long, too difficult, and not representative of exam questions. They are confidence destroyers and time wasters. I highly don't recommend them.

With cpareviewforfree.. I always lost a little confidence. If you study with Becker and plan on taking BEC then I'd do cpareviewforfree.com for the IS questions (only). Everything else might cause you to be confused or lose confidence.

Also, I would never look at it before looking at studying material.

Do not use cpareviewforfree before studying.. it will mess you up! There really isn't much to do without the study materials..relax and enjoy your life before study time!!!!!!!
