Hey Ninja's I Just graduated in Dec 2016 and have started studying for FAR, I plan to take Far at the end of Jan beg of Feb, depending on what test days are available. Any tips for someone just starting out? I am using Becker as my main course, and I've purchased the Ninja Audio, Ninja Notes, and Ninja audio MCQ. I am thinking about getting the Rogers Audio as well. Does anyone think that would be overkill on the audio. I have at least 2 hours of commute everyday as i work in DC and live in northern VA and traffic is terrible everyday. Well hopefully I can be disciplined enough to study hard.

@bram I don't think it's overkill. I only have Becker and it is a TON of material. I think I'll also get ninja mcq or wiley.

@Mscfisher I can not believe we are all back in here for Q1! This just really sucks… I applied for my NTS today and I don't know when I will re-sit. Kind of want to wait to get my score report before scheduling because I am at a loss as to where I messed up this go round… I am thinking end of January as well but then part of me says why not push it as long as possible since this is the only one I have left. Very frustrated to say the least.

@Kari- 69 here to and also ready for a victory!

@bram- don't think the audio is overkill at all-especial with a commute – Roger is good- he keeps you engaged so I would go for it. Did you apply VA or DC? I am DC and kind of wish I had applied VA but oh well.

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

I am in the DC area as well, as listen to Ninja Audio every commute. Lets hope everyone took vacation this week and no traffic! 😀

@Mckan514w – Did you use Roger Cram? I have it. My last shot is in Jan 2017 Q1 before I lose Reg on Jan 31. I’m scheduled for Jan 18, but could potentially push to Jan 30. My problem is that I have studied so much, I am kind of flailing at the moment. I have so much stuff- I really don’t know what to do first. What is your plan?

Hey guys, been following this forum since before Dec 10th. I also took Far and got the best score of all “74”. It seems they failed us all on purpose 😔. Getting back to study mode next week.

@stilgoing- I am kind of like you and just floundering a bit on how to proceed with this re-take. I did not use Cram- I have the regular Roger's course and to be real honest while I think Roger is a great teacher, I am not sure he/ the course has prepared me very well for FAR- I think he gives you what you need to pass but I need a little bit more detail and information if that makes sense. I also found last time that Ninja was much more realistic in terms of the MCQ's I saw as well.

Anyway much too long 🙂 I purchased the Gleim test bank and the plan is to start there, taking notes as if it my first time with the information and really concentrate on SIMS as I think that is where I am really messing up. I honestly feel like I have a good grip on the information but for some reason I just blow it come test day its very frustrating…

    Whats your plan?

My plan is watch the Roger Cram and NINJA Plus vids while taking notes, do the MCQs until I’m trending 80 (I have never done that. My trending has always been kind of low because I did unseen questions.) and read the NINJA book and/or notes when I throw up from MCQs and have to switch. 😉 I ditched Becker 2 weeks before my last exam and focused entirely on NINJA MCQs and Plus vids. I really think that helped me. My scores- 59(funeral), 59(funeral), 70, 74. I seem to get lost in the weeds with Becker, but I have separation anxiety too.

Anyway- good luck. My attitude sucks right now, but I’m trying to have a self-talk adjustment and get it done. lol

    Here’s to passing in Q1!!

💅 I used to sugar-coat a little, but maybe the fear of losing $$$ will help motivate them. 😉 They would be scared if they saw ALL my scores. lol
