Just3LettersParticipantGood morning everybody! So I have 9 days left! What was the plan for your (final) final review? I'm thinking a few hundred mcq per day and maybe a few sims?
I just want to use my time as efficiently as possible. It also doesn't help with family not understanding the commitment that this takes and asking “want to go see a movie, want to go on a hike, what's on Tv”?
ugh.

Spend one or two days scan through the textbook. It is worth doing it.

Spartans92ParticipantLMAO at the survey right! I complained as well and rated as low as possible. I mentioned something along the line of the new DRS and the SIMS being so DAMN Long compared to Becker's. But I guess that is what separates the men from the boy. Anyone can give me some insight on how to study for these SIMS? truth be told I only did maybe 7 of them on Becker :/ Maybe I need to work more on my retake. Claudia, as for BEC I won't be starting until later this weekend I dont think it will be as bad as FAR. I took cost accounting about a year ago so the stuff isn't completely gone yet and I did decent in the class (3.5) but will see how it goes. I hope to get a PASS on this first try, guess I shouldn't underestimate it tho.
Just3, I would say MCQ and SIM. Think becker does a great job preparing the MCQ portion but the SIMS I just dont know what to do to get a comparable score on it. I am too figuring out how to knock those out next time. Make sure u know JE! Govt and NFP as well.
BEC- PASS

mckan514wParticipantLOL marqzho– I hope not!!!
@just3 I agree with marqzho– spend a day or two just scanning through your textbook / reading through ALL of your notes…
hit the MCQ's and run through as many sims as you can just to familiarize yourself with what won't be on there (ha ha ha– just kidding kind of- I was actually glad I ran through them — while they didn't really help me with the exam sims they DID help solidify some of the MCQ concepts in my head… )
Good luck know you will do great!
and they ask me why I drink...

Claudia408ParticipantHey all! I feel sorta better today but I had dreams of spreadsheets last night. lol. There is def still hope, but 99% I know I failed. Oh well, I need to focus on Reg now, at least knock that out.
mckan514w – we can suffer together in the Reg study group! glad to know i'm not the only one who thought of giving the AICPA a piece of my mind! lol you're using Roger right?
marqzho – black jacket… hmmmm were you in station #6? did you have problems launching your exam when you got to your computer? i was at station #7…
Just3 – you have plenty of time to review but you know after my experience, i wouldn't even know what to focus on. but yea like mckan514w said, go through SIMs because they are a different angle at the same problem… even though the format is changing…. can't do much about that…
ImCPA – yea i'm def taking the next few days off. even though i was majorly pissed after the exam, it was nice to go home and veg out and not think about studying!
hey this is my fave study group, i'll check in here and there to see how everyone is doing even though i gotta start on Reg this weekend.

MaLoTuParticipantClaudia – What were your BEC exams like … I got a 67 then a 74 and I am waiting for Thursday to see if I finally passed. I felt like I knew most of what they asked, but I am worried that it was blissful ignorance! I just do not see how I could not know that stuff on my 3rd attempt. Thursday has me stressed out.
Having only 2 exams left puts you in a really awkward spot, you feel good that you are half way done, but it is more of an uphill battle than the first two, IMO!
May 3, 2016 at 5:18 pm #764954
Claudia408ParticipantMaLoTu – all 3 of my BEC experiences sucked! there are way too many out of left field questions and there were questions where I said to myself under my breath WTF at each attempt…. 74 stings, but hopefully you pulled it off this time. I think the written communication is the easiest way to get “comparable”.

MaLoTuParticipantEach time I took it I have scored stronger in WC … I think that is why I got a 74 last time instead of a pass, they just couldn't pull any additional points =( This one had a lot less WTF questions, but the WC were a little confusing, which I thought was weird. The exam I got a 74 on I had a lot of questions that were left fielders. We will see, the wait is agonizing and if I am on the bubble again I will die!

Claudia- yes I'm also using Rogers as well and PLEASE hurry on over to the Reg group we need some “life” in there- its a boring as the material- ha ha ha (Hence why I am always popping back in over here)…. Glad you are feeling better today 🙂
