I hope that you get it boating! On my REG exam I could not tell the difference in testlet difficulty and I still passed, so I don't think you can always tell. Thanks so much for sharing your exam experience. I am so nervous to sit for FAR! Enjoy your well deserved trip!

Glad to hear boating you did well. See I told you. Enjoy until your score release. I am trying to get these J/E down in my head. MaLoTu you are right they should not test all of this anyways esp. govt. and IFRS. Not everyone is going to work in govt. and International.

Question, if depreciation expense is excess of GAAP over Tax, DTA will be difference x the tax rate?

I did a SIM on deferred taxes. I got all the calculations right but it took off points because the items listed were not in the order. The question did not say any specific order to follow. I hope in the exam it does give you clear instructions on that.

kanwal – what software?

I use Becker and it doesn't sim like they really show you a score for sims, you just get shading of right or wrong. It doesn't seem to save either … maybe it is just me.

I am using Ninja. It gives you % score for correct entries.

I have heard that the exam doesn't take off for the order of presentation of the journal entries, like if you credited APIC before CS or something like that … but there is really no way to know! I find that incredibly frustrating and from what I have experienced, the sims are not very forthcoming with the details of how they want the item completed =(

@MaLoTu I as long as you hit the correct debits and credits the order doesn't matter.

Whats the timing frame for FAR? I know its 4 hours but how long should you be taking on the MCQ testlet and how much time should you have going into SIMS?

I was having issues the other day with the FAR study thread only … it was related to not having shut down my computer in a while, the temp memory was too small for the size of the thread I guess.
