My numbers were just like that! Honestly!

It was all over the place initially. I kept at it and found a baseline around low 70's to mid 60's.

I kept at it even more and my numbers improved to around high-mid 80's (currently).

I need to start hitting the sims/ j/e now. I failed the first time because of the sims.

I started doing sets of 10 (because I was slow at it) then increased to sets of 30. It generally takes between 40 mins to 1 hour for me to do a set of 30 (partially because I read the explanation on the answer).

When I first started with the sets of 10, it took me about 30-45 mins to complete them.

What is a take away from DTA and DTL chapter? I always struggle in that.

    FAR - August 2016
    AUD - September 2016
    REG - October 2016
    BEC - November 2016

That's a vague question but you should be able to tell if there is a deferred tax asset or liability and how much and why.

Be careful to understand what are permanent differences vs temp differences as they have a huge impact on ur answer.

Basically, you would ignore all permanent differences in ur calculation altogether. The hard part is knowing which items are permanent differences and which ones are temp differences (I know because I took reg already). Examples of permanent differences are muni bonds and life insurance proceeds.

Claudia, I checked my score there is no way I could stop thinking.. Guess Ill be joining in with y'all! I really need help with a strategy during final review week I think that is my downfall. Or maybe add Ninja MCQ. 🙁 This is depressing. After 3 months of studying for a FAIL…feel like I wasted my life.

Mckan – I'm not one of those who say I failed and 100% of the time but pass 100% of the time. I know I failed miserably. I convinced I had nightmare sims but that's not an excuse. I need to study this material better. Where to start!!?? Reg will go down first though!!

I hear ya Claudia- I'm the same way- knew actually as soon as I got to SIMS and for sure when I walked out to my car that I had failed… and yes I most definitely need to study the material better.

I am going to hold off and finish up the prescribed schedule I have set for myself and then start again…. I honestly think the ONLY WAY I am going to pass FAR is if I forget everything I “learned” (which clearly wasn't all that much) for the last exam and start over completely fresh giving myself plenty of time to completely understand it— oh and to MEMORIZE every single freaking thing I can on GOVT and NFP (which of course will guarantee I won't see anything on them on the exam ha ha ha )….
