mtaylo24Participant^^^^Yeah I've used both and failed with both. Did over 5000 Ninja questions last time and still got a 54%.
side note finally hit an 80% in Inv after 15 sessions. That's 431 questions total for one chapter smh!
AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)

mckan514wParticipantPraise Be! I think I FINALLY understand Dollar Value LIFO (which of course all but guarantees that I will never see another question on it in my entire life π )
@mtaylo- regarding the question you posted… think of it this way your cost + 60% equals your sales because you are marking the merchandise up based on your total cost
so basically 960= 60% + Cost or (Cost X1.60=sales revenue)
so your cost is equal to 960 / 1.60Then its just a matter of addition and subtraction to get your Operating Profit
Sales 960
Less COGS 600
= Gross Profit 360
Less S & A which equals 30% of sales so 960*30%=288
Gives you an Operating profit of 72and they ask me why I drink...

mtaylo24Participant@McKan – Thanks! I'm mixing up 960/1.6 and 960 * .6. I guess that's the difference btw A and C that is throwing me off.

AnonymousInactive@spartans – don't panic, bro – that's how you get yourself into big trouble on exam. Stay focused, devise a strategy going into it. On the Ninja plus videos, the instructor strongly encourages exam takers to have a stratetgy going in and not just “winging it.” He said that you should be taking no longer than 1.6 minutes per MCQ so that you will have sufficient time for the simulations. Also, on the simulations he said to go through all of them beforehand, rank them and then proceed with the two easiest and then work your way to hardest.
And good luck!

Good news is I made it through Gleim inventory bad news is my head hurts so bad that I think I may have irreparable harmed my brain. I think I will reward myself with a beer.Oh man @spartan but @bondvillan is right- DO. NOT. PANIC! You have this… deep calming breaths- at this point you should be reviewing anyway- which means you know what you need to know… go in there with the attitude that you are going to kill it and you will! mcohen1993ParticipantHi guys/gals. Took my exam. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but some of the MPQs were kinda grasping at straws. I feel like those were harder questions. Idk
Sims weren't too out of the ordinary either, I kinda knew what to do too.
Good luck guys, you'll all pass

Spartans92ParticipantOn December 31, 20X1, Dirk Corp. sold Smith Co. two airplanes and simultaneously leased them back. Additional information pertaining to the sale-leasebacks follows:
Plane 1 Plane 2
——– ———-
Sales price $600,000 $1,000,000
Carrying amount, December 31, 20X1 $100,000 $ 550,000
Remaining useful life, December 31, 20X1 10 years 35 years
Lease term 8 years 3 years
Annual lease payments $100,000 $ 200,000
In its December 31, 20X1, balance sheet, what amount should Dirk report as deferred gain on these transactions?A.
$950,000B.
$500,000C.
$450,000D.
$0So Plane 1 is Capital and Plane 2 isn't. But then I dont get why all gain is deferred? I thought this is a “minor” transfer 10-90% we have to recognized what we keep. I took 100,000/600,000 = 17% to get the minor classification. I thought we only defer all gain if its greater than 90% transferring substantial ownership. What am I missing?

Operation_CPAParticipantTook FAR today. I feel kind of indifferent honestly, maybe I'm just numb to this whole process at this point. Really hoping I passed. My best advice to anyone out there is to NOT skip anything and just keep at it. SIMS were easier this go around, but a lot of the MCQ's were tricky. Some questions I was like what??

StilgoinParticipantIβm trying not to have a panic attack. I read someone else had very tricky questions, then last night I read someone made 74 like 3 or 4 times. π³
I have been sick all day- 26th is coming fast.
I hope you passed @operation_CPA …..at least you donβt have to study this weekend. π

StilgoinParticipant@spartans92 – you have to assume it is major. The qualifier is the PV of the lease payments is 10-90% of the FV. There is no PV info given.
