@Namstut – definitely not! I think most of my MCQs were calculations, and I didn't get ANY of those nice Sims where you just have to pick the five correct statements or classify transactions like in Becker. Heavy calculations on every one. At least my balance sheet balanced though!

I just got home from taking FAR. I can say that it covered the subjects pretty fairly. Ummmm the SIMS (sigh…)that's another story… well on 2, I definitely had to guess on them, not that I hadn't seen the subject matter but never had one sim in the prep software like either of them. I think I got the research right at least. Praying to the CPA gods for a 75 so this will be over! I wish the best score release for everyone waiting for the 21st!

Im pate but here. Spent some time remebering what life feels like.

Teslest 1 I felt like “i got this!” Then second teslet hit me on the face n teslet 3 an in between. I think my experience was a lot like @mckan. Cough cough cough not to much fasb cough cough cough. I defenitely had one question repeated in teslet 1 n teslet 3. That one i knew. The sims were horrendous. So I dont feel too confident about it.

    BEC - PASSED
    AUD - 8/29/16
    FAR - TBS

@AATOURAL, SAME experience, testlet 1 was ok, 2 was difficult, 3 was in between with exactly 1 question repeating from 1 and the sims were written in BRAILE….felt blind sided by SIMS….I really hate them

Just got home a bit ago from the lovely prometric center and am sitting here trying to figure out what I just went thru. Felt pretty good on MCQ's but maybe it's because they weren't that hard. I couldn't gauge the level of difficulty. I would say more than half were calculations though and the third testelet had some gnarly stuff in it. The sims though were on another level and I'm not being dramatic. I had about 1:30 left when entering and tackled research and one other easy one right away. Then picked apart the DRS and another JE effect one and the last two were literally ridiculous. One had to be (pray to god) was a pretest because it was touched so little in the study material I don't know know how Einstein would have figured it out. I ended up filling in zeros on last one as time expired. Not sure how I will fair when scores come out but I wish I was a lot happier on this Friday night.

@cruzer wow I had the same situation. MCQ felt really easy, half were calculations, couldn't tell if it was getting harder or if I was just prepared. Then the SIMS were hard, knew 2 off the bat etc. etc. But I feel like we had the same SIMS or similar. I was running out of time and put zeros as fill in answers. Without giving details, ironically I think at least 40% of the Sim I'm talking about required “zero” answers.. Hope we both did enough

I took the exam earlier today

    Testlet 1 was easy
Testlet 2 was hard, alot of the questions i could narrow down to 2 answers but i had to flag alot of them
Testlet 3 went back to easy (which i guess was a bad thing)

The sims werent too bad, they were about as hard as i expected. luckily i had no goverment sims but i had 3 journal entry sims

I forgot to tell y'all this from yesterday. When they were going over all of the ridiculous rules I started smiling. It was the one where I can't have cameras or something, which made me smile because I can't figure out how to screenshot something to post on this forum much less have a recording device on me that's hidden. When it came time to take my picture we were all still joking about the crazy rules and they told me I could smile but not show my teeth. They were serious.

@Namstut My exam easily was 75% if not more calculations- but I didn't have a balance sheet to balance-

    @aa
if you had the same three SIMS that I did, given where you work, you must be LOVING LIFE! Needless to say I am still crying over them….
@HR- they wanted me to take my WEDDING RINGS OFF!!!!!??? That was a first ever- I just looked at the dude and said these don't come off- and honestly if I were smart enough to find a way to slip an answer sheet underneath them or engrave answers to the underside I wouldn't be sitting for this damn exam I'd be working for NASA…

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

@mckan514w – Just shows the level of some of the Prometrics employees. The rules specifically state “Jewelry outside of wedding and engagement rings is prohibited. Please do not wear other jewelry to the test center. Hair accessories and ties are subject to inspection. Please refrain from using ornate clips, combs, barrettes, headbands, tie clips, cuff links and other hair accessories as you may be prohibited from wearing them in to the testing room and asked to store them in your locker.

Does anyone think that its possible to study for FAR for only 50 days?

@SallyCPA – if you are a quick study, can minimize other commitments, and put in tons of time for those 50 days, maybe. I cut back to part time work for 10 weeks and took the two weeks before my exam as vacation and still felt like I needed to cram more into my head. I would never say impossible, there are people out there claiming to have studied little or not at all and passed. *I* couldn't do it in 50 days.

I had 62 days to prep for FAR; yesterday it felt like spending two more weeks would have been golden.
I only needed 60-80 hours prep for BEC, AUD and REG, but the 135 I put in for FAR didn't quite feel sufficient.

If you work full time, I'd plan on spending 5-6 weeks just getting through all the material and take another two to theee weeks for intense review.
