I believe the changes coming in Q2 include a scheduled break. At least for FAR.

@Trevor yes, I saw that on one of the NASBA pages this morning – one 15-minute break that doesn't count against your exam time. I wonder if that means you can no longer take quick breaks between testlets, but only the one.

Hopefully it won't matter for many of us…

I have my fingers crossed…. Saw a lot of IFRS questions on my exam yesterday, and 4 of the 7 sims were JE's. So know both of those.

Also, do you guys think its any coincidence that the FAR Study Group topic has 4 1/2 times as many posts as Audit? Ha…. God I hope I'm done….

@GiniC, I think you can still take breaks between the testlets but the time will count against your test time.

Saving IFRS differences for tomorrow so it will be fresh…. Fingers crossed for you @trevor. Is anyone testing tomorrow?? I think the majority of us are Thursday and Friday- but if you are testing tomorrow GOOD LUCK!

@yazoon81- can't help you on the Sim question but for the MCQ's just select the topic you want and then from the pull down one that reads “questions selected from” pick “new Questions”

Q#1: What happens to all the money seized in drug busts?
Q#2: Let’s say, I found $1M in a street and reported it to the police. After some time, no one claims for it, let’s say after 5 years or so, where would this money go?

@amorD- I would say it would go into an agency or a private purpose trust…

@Namstut That is too funny because it is true. I should have rephrased that so as not to be received as a slight to Audit folks (as you can see, I barely passed it). Was more meaning that I am not alone in thinking that FAR is just much more of a battle than the others seem to be. Thanks for the laugh.

I tried out the maximum absorption depends last night in the shower, let me tell you, those things work! Not a drop of leakage or even a feel of dampness. I will be wearing tomorrow and will have a change of clothes on the car for after!

Ok so I took exam today and nust say this was one of the hardes and craziest exam. Questions were so damn long and I as getting almost dizzy when saw them. SIMS were crazy but not that bad – but one was insane so hope is pretest one. I happy I am done with taking it but now waiting for results is even worse. 2 weeks couldnt concentrate on anything as would be thinking what will do if not pass. Crazy….
And yes, NFP and IFRS – staff for IFRS that were not even mention in Becker book how to deal with it. Crazy insane

Can anyone provide clarification or a definitive answer on how changes from cost method to equity method is accounted for is it retroactive or is it prospectively and is that tested this quarter? Everything I'm reading says to retract if we apply the equity method but not to change the percentage previously-owned for example going from 10 to 40%.

I pointed out one of those places where the DTA and DTLs were not correct in the answers, and someone at Becker told me today that those updates aren't being tested until next quarter. I'm not sure anymore, but I can't try to change what I learned now. I'll be REALLY upset if Becker screwed that up!
