GiniCParticipantI got stuck working 20 hours over the last two days, so I feel like I'm behind again!!! I was planning to do sims and optional questions (Becker) for the last two weeks, but when I started doing them I realized I've forgotten too much of the early chapters – what's in the codification, what the regs are, stuff like that. Nail-biting time!!!! Gonna keep on going…

mtaylo24ParticipantWhat's the difference between a special revenue fund and a permanent fund?
AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
FAR - (8/16)February 24, 2017 at 10:41 am #1497334
mckan514wParticipantooh I know this one!!!!!
Special Revenue fund holds monies for special projects that are not capital in nature- so example special assessment fee for repairing sidewalks would go into s special revenue fundPermanent fund is one that is donor stipulated- so holds all the funds that are donated with stipulations such as use investment income to buy books for a library.

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade

mtaylo24ParticipantThanks McKan! I have been feeling the exact same lately. I had no problem shacking up studying whenever it was cold outside, but now I just want to go outside and play lol. Especially since I work downtown!
Let me ask the real question though. What is the difference between the donations you receive in the special revenue fund vs the donations you receive in the permanent fund? You can get donations in the special rev fund, right?
AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)

mckan514wParticipanthmmmmm now that I don't know mtaylo maybe you could….. where is @aa our govt. person! 🙂
I would say that if there were donations to the special revenue fund it would be along the lines of I give 50K to the district to fix the damn sidewalks in front of my house (hmmm can you tell my sidewalks need fixing)–
Versus me giving the district 50K and telling them- put this in an investment account and use any interest or dividends earned on it to fix the damn sidewalks- then the 50 would go into a permanent fund.
This is honestly thought just my best guess

T RevParticipantI am averaging in the 60s, trending in the 80s, so I am needing to shore up a few areas before my test in 9 days. With that little time, would it be worth it to get Ninja Plus? I have passed the other three using primarily Ninja MCQ and Blitz, but I am finding with FAR having so much content, The Ninja Blitz, Audio, and Notes do not go in depth enough for me to have some things click. With only 9 days to go and having FAR MCQ, Audio, Blitz, Flash Cards, and Notes, would it be worth it to purchase Ninja Plus?

futurevacpaParticipantThe principle needs to remain intact in the permanent fund.

AnonymousInactiveI took FAR for the second time on Feb 6 (first score was a 74), my score should be released but I have not checked it and don't know if I should or shouldn't. I thought about continuing with my studying for AUD then checking my FAR score after I take AUD. Should I wait to look or just look now? I'm afraid I'll get discouraged if I look and I didn't pass.
Help please!

mckan514wParticipant@Trevor- I think you have to ask yourself would you get enough out of the videos to make it worth the price- personally I just sort of zone out on videos so to me it would be wasted money if I already had the notes, audio and test bank…. but other people are more audio/visual learners-
@King- you are a stronger person than I am if your for real!!! ha ha ha- check the damn score otherwise you won't be able to concentrate fully on AUD

mtaylo24Participant^^^One I can answer! The only one that is modified accrual/current resources is the governmental fund. Fiduciary, Proprietary, and Gov't wide are accrual/economic resources.
