Hey all…I bought the audio notes for FAR, does anyone know if there's a specific list of topics that's more detailed than the simple titles to each track? E.G., if you wanted to search out where non-monetary exchanges were discussed or the change to extraordinary items?

If your book income is higher than the taxable income because of a temp difference, kind of like you didn't pay enough tax today and you need to pay more in the future period. Hence you need to create a liability representing the amount you need to pay in the future.

    536FrenchmenStreet: Bueller

    (Hilarity ensues.)

    Jason, there isn't, unfortunately.

Holy Moses, I just took the sample exam on the AICPA website. My knees are still shaking. My only consolation is that 48 hours from this moment, for better or worse, I will have finished taking FAR.

But I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here…nail it!

    You've got this!

    I believe in you! ! !

Hello all. Been lurking since January, taking my first exam – FAR – on Feb 27th. Just started my review today (using Becker) and all I can say is FAR is scary and has so much material.

    FAR - 2/27
    Audit - 4/2
    Reg - 5/7
    BEC - 5/27

Test on 02/29 and I am getting discouraged. Doing Ninja MCQs and getting scores around 50s-60s. I hope I can make it. My AUD credit will expire 07/02 so I need to pass FAR and I still have to retake BEC.

AUD Passed 78 (4x) Thank you Lord.
REG Passed 81 (2x) Thank you St Joseph of Cupertino
FAR Passed 77 (3x) Thank you St Joseph of Cupertino. Thank you Lord.
    BEC TBD
My CPA journey started in 2013 and it will be finished in April 2016. That's for sure!!

    Naz,

2014 Becker stuff will certainly contain information that is not 100% correct.

However could you use it and pass? Yes, I'd say so. But I'd strongly advise that you supplement Becker with some newer less expensive items.

    That is my advise…good luck.

Hi Naz1989, it is always advisable to buy the most recent material. If you can't afford it, however, maybe you should take the time out to see what has changed from the 2014 to the 2016 materials and note them down as you study along. In any case I would strongly suggest you buy a test bank from a provider that offers free updates (not to advertise but maybe you could get the Ninja MCQ or similar).

Hi guys, can anyone help show me the journal entries for this situation?

On June 30, Huff Corp. issued at 99, 1,000 of its 8%, $1,000 bonds. The bonds were issued through an underwriter to whom Huff paid bond issue costs of $35,000.

    Thanks.
