@itsj0nathon if the event took place in the year the FS are issued for (a company filed bankruptcy after the B/S date but their financial position had been deteriorating during the year of the F/S) you would accrue and disclose.

I am taking FAR in July and using Becker to study. Is it a good idea to also use FAR Ninja audio while at the gym? And if so, if I am on ch 4 in Becker should I only listen up to chapter 4 and continue once I continue in the book or listen to the whole audio?

    Thanks for all feedback!

Currently using Becker and on F1 M7 doing the skills practice,

anyone notice you have to list the items in proper order or its wrong? Why is that?

Also, on the OCI part of the skills practice Tim says the unrealized loss on AFS securities is 24k with no explanation. Anyone understand why?

I'm confused why “dividends in arrears” is not being used in this problem. My understanding is that dividends in arrears should be calculated on cumulative preferred stock.

@jonm857 They would tell you if they had undistributed dividend in arrears from prior years. Not seeing that mentioned in this question.

Edit: its cumulative, wouldnt it already include undistibuted dividends in arrears, sorry I'm rusty.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)

So many issues with FAR on new Becker, there are no options for blank selection so if you put something there you cant change it

@abig If you double click on the cell (don't make a selection), press cancel and then hit the delete key, it should remove it. Not sure if there's a better way but it works.

    Hello Everyone!

I just graduated college and am studying for FAR! I am planning to take it mid-July.
Is anyone else using Surgent CPA Review? Is it effective?

I am so scared because my job requires me to pass all four sections before I start in January.
