I cannot express my gratitude enough for your exceptional clue.Already started FAR with new found approach.Silver lining that I don't have to wait for August to start again.

Hi! I am scheduled to take FAR on July 23. So far I only have Roger, but I may purchase the NINJA MCQ. I am fresh out of college, but I'm a procrastinator (I've gotten through college by memorizing the night before the exam!). Are there any study tips from people that have been studying for a while? My plan is to finish the Roger videos by the end of June and purchase NINJA MCQ in July. What do you guys think?

Hi I just started studying the other day with Becker for FAR. This is my first exam and I'm straight out of college. I'm on Revenue Recognition and I'm already scared to death. How many times should I watch the lecture? How many times do I do the MCQs? How much % of the concept should I know before moving on?

Also, I submitted my application yesterday. What is the soonest do you think I'll be able to register my date? Thanks!

This intercompany section is kicking my @SS!!!!

I do not understand this. Why and how do you know to use 50% that's shown in the solution??? So lost.

    A - 87
    R - 73

Wait… it's 50% because $65,000 is half of $130,000 sales from BEE, and CEE buys exclusively from BEE.

    B - 81
    A - 87
    R - 73
    F - July 5th

Just finished the ratio analysis lessons with Wiley. Anyone who has taken the test… what is the worth of actually studying some of these nitty gritty ratio's? Would it really be worth it to try and memorize these formula's for 1… maybe 2 MCQ's?

I just find the idea ridiculous, but that's just me.

CoachEmUp , general rule is leave no topics ,it can be a small MCQ and every drops count in CPA exam.I haven't seen any ratio question in FAR though.General consensus is Govt/NFP need sure attention and it is not covered in College.

@WannaFree Thanks. I agree with that consensus to leave no stone unturned, but when it comes to basically straight memorizing the 25 ratio's they laid out, it just seems like a waste of brain space. Sure I should know the basic one's (profit margin, total asset turnover, current ratio, inventory turnover), but anything past that is asking a lot IMO.

It will not hurt you as you will definitely have to confront the ratios in BEC and AUD .You don't need to memorize , just understand the concept and have a list ,you can refer then 2-3 days before exams. In BEC and AUD it is big deal.
