    @Tncincy
    I think the study material you have should be sufficient for the most part. Are you working while studying for these exams? Don't get discouraged over not getting the MCQs correct right away. It WILL take time. I am working full time and have been studying for FAR for a couple of months. I spend a lot of time on the weekends and a few hours here and there on the weekdays. When I first started practicing MCQs I wasn't doing all that great on them either, but trust me with time you will get better at them. I know its very frustrating to not get them right the first few times and you want to give up but don't do that. I was on the same boat and was worried that I would never get it. But I have improved greatly on them, you just have to keep repeating everything over and over. Start writing down questions you are getting wrong, and go back and review notes then go back and re-do those questions. Take progress tests everyday so you are not forgetting the information. You need to review everyday even if its 40 questions, just so your brain retains all that information at all times. One advice would be to not keep pushing the exam date back, if you keep doing that you will never fully be able to prepare and take it. Its very easy to push the date back and slack, but if you're determined just study your butt off for a few days without distractions and take it! The more you keep pushing it back the harder it'll get for you to get back into it and easier to lose focus and no motivation.

    You got this! We all got this!

    @vans, I appreciate your encouragement. You're right…the more I push the date back, the worse it is to get into the swing of things. I guess I just want to pass and I realize I have to do what I need to do to get it done. I was at a low yesterday, I am doing much better today. Even though I don't feel ready, I can't keep making excuses; either I study and pass or leave it alone. As for the study materials, I don't have anymore money to buy anything else so I guess I will be reading the book and doing mcq's until I get it. Again, I really appreciate your response. Keep your fingers crossed for me I intend to keep trying.

    It begins with a 75
    Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

    Sat for FAR today. I have a tendency to not pass the first time I sit for an exam, but I honestly think I might have passed this beast the first time. I guess we'll see in September. I feel pretty good about it.

    Now that its over, I can't stop thinking about the score release later this week. Awaiting my AUD score.

    It's a weird feeling. If I did pass FAR today, I could be done…

    Took FAR today. Mcqs are manageable but Sims are super time consuming. Don't feel super good about Sims. We'll see I guess. A lot of nfp/gov tho.

    @eltoroModesto , your exam experience is too short.Every body know SIMs are time consuming and Govt/NFP are back.You should share your own exam experience .LOL

    Yeah I took FAR yesterday as well. First set of MCQ's were fine, evenly spread not too complicated. Second MCQ's were hard, mostly paragraphs, some were manageable. I was to the point where 25 questions in and I was done… Sims were tough as usual. I expected to have drop down menu's but had none. 2 DRS and a very fair research question unlike REG, and AUD. Good luck all

    hey folks, Just started Governmental topic F-9, its really killing and taking too long time to understand, totally different concept from regular accounting. Just 2 weeks to go for the beast, anybody who is appearing on aug 30/31, please share your plan for the next two weeks. what all the things are you going to do in last two weeks. Reviewing all MCQs and SIMS in becker or something different. Please share, feeling so nervous after I started this ridiculous topic.

    @Vinti I am scheduled to take FAR August 28th. Less than two weeks to go. I am a ball of nerves, especially cause I'll find out audit in 1 day and 11 hours (there's a countdown clock on Nasba). As far as FAR (pun intended), I am on F7, my second way through the book. This time around I'm re-reading, taking notes, doing SIMS, and the progress tests. I'll finish up F10 by Sunday. I will then take a mock exam, study what i missed for two days, and then then take mock exam 2, and study until the day of the test. I also do the flash cards at night. What is your schedule? Any thoughts?

    @vinti I am also on F9 and starting F10 tomorrow. FAR is scheduled for 8/29. My plan is to finish F10 by Friday and start reviewing the heavily tested topics such as revenue recognition/NFP/GOVT/Leases/bonds/EPS/Pensions and depreciation. I am not going to focus on the small items (the 1- 5% chance it will be tested). Hoping this time around i will pass! Good luck to everyone taking the exam this quarter.
