@cpa2k17 I'm fairly certain you get partial credit for sims, besides the research question.

@wannafree your profile picture had me dying hahaha.

Anyone else feel like they're going to have to retake in Q3? If so how long do you think to study for the retake?

@cpa2k17 want to be ask you question , how you solved 66 questions in one hour ? 2ns testlet I had was almost 26-27 calculations and I knew the answers very well so typing the numbers on calc as fast as possible. But still when completed all questions at least 4 I was not sure and just guessed it.When I came out I was just thinking of how someone could have done 66 questions in 60 minutes ? I not questioning your abilities , I am just trying what trick you did .
SIMs also u did in 2 hours.
It's amazing and it would be nice if can share here or send me tips through mail.

SallyCpa , yes I am planning to appear on 22th August. I have started as every things fresh in my mind and I am sure I have failed.See the silver lining of sure fail .If they give 17 marks to everybody for becoming AICPA's guinea pigs in Q2 then I am sure I will pass otherwise no hope.Expecting 58.

@wannafree So true. I actually think that they will be more lenient to people who took the exam in Q2 but it all depends on what sims they end up counting. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they throw out 3 sims so if you did well on the MCQ you might stand a chance.

@SallyCPA I really hope that I won't have to retake it again, but if I have to retake it again it would probably take me a month, just like this retake. Maybe I'm a sick masochist but out of the 4 exam so far I've been exposed to, FAR is my favorite.

I highly doubt they'll throw out 3 sims because there only 1 that will be pretest.

Thanks SallyCPa but somehow not banking on that and since this would be abnormal Q3 I can't even make out of my score for Q3 as I am sure it would be entirely different scoring.
right now I am writing the questions which I remember ( SIMs) and trying to figure out how to crack the hack of DRS. I am sure AICPA don't expect every one or 43% to be like CPAIN2k17 or Beantown. If they do expect people to be like them then the result would be 2.28% to 3.28% but you will see the result would be 42.86% to 43.58% .LOL So there has to be some approach which I feel we are missing.

If I have to retake I'm definitely going to try to squeeze it into Q3, no sense in losing an entire window… and I'm right there with you guys I used all the time provided and thought the test was tough. I have no idea what I will end up with. I could get a 50 or I could get an 80. No idea haha.

@Anthony if you wouldn't pass then nobody will pass.Just relax .
Surprisingly you won't believe FAR is my fav too and I kept it for last which I regret now.

@wannafree no real trick or secret other than I felt like I knew the answer to most questions so I chose the answer and kept going. I've always been a fast test taker though. For example when I do a set of 10 MCQs in ninja I typically finish in about 4 minutes or so. Of course, I could have just thought I knew stuff and was wrong and didn't do as well, guess I'll find out in August haha

I guess you would pass as You solved all SIMs and will get best of curve.
But it is clear that I have to get the MCQ in max 75 minutes as most of us agreed here that SIMs were not from left fields it's just needed more time.

@Anthony I was following/monitoring the old FAR study group post. I read that you used Gleim Sims for FAR because they are harder kinds to practice. Did it help with your exam? I am using Becker as my study material and now also thinking of trying Gleim Sims. Would you recommend that doing those SIMs after I'm done learning (since it won't match up with my Becker Chapters)? 🙂

How much is everyone studying from now till score release? It almost 11 weeks till we find out how we did and I'm not sure how much I should be reviewing/studying. What do you guys think?
