    Thanks @Ijustwanttobefree for the info. I am doing them right now and some past year AICPA reelased questions and so far i'm getting most correct. It's building up my confidence.

    @eltoromodesto I got the same answer but my way was a lot more complicated than yours! I'm going to write that on a flash card.

    @accountingbeans
    yes! I took my mock exam yesterday and didn't do as well as I hoped. When I reviewed it was because I misunderstood the questions because the wording was tricky. I'm so frustrated/worried.

    thanks @eltoromodesto. I initially thought that too but Becker says that temp differences should be multiplied by the enacted current tax rate or future rate. So I'm multiplying the 1000 by .35 = 350. The net change in temp differences is 1,000 deferred tax asset so you should subtract the “now” and “later”. The tax expense on P&L is “now” – “later” for deferred tax asset or “now” + “later” for deferred tax liabilities.

    @hopingtogetFAR May I ask what you got? I just finished my first mock exam and am pretty content with the score, although now I need to go through it and see how much I really knew, if I got lucky on some, or if I made stupid mistakes

    @accountingbeans I got a 55. Was hoping to be in the 60s, so that the 70s would be my goal for the 2nd try.

    @hopingtogetfar While I understand your disappointment, that's really not that bad IMO. I got a 58 on practice test for REG like 2 days before the exam and still pulled off a 75 so don't get discouraged!

    @accountingbeans That's encouraging. This is my first exam, so I don't know how to gauge anything. Can't give up now though.

    I have FAR on Wednesday and am very scared. What do you guys suggest I do with my last day before the exam?
    Also, I am taking my exam in the afternoon. What would be the best lunch to eat beforehand so I don't get hangry or feel funky (if you know what I mean)?

    @WorkingMyAssetsOff I take FAR Wednesday also. How much are you studying today? I also take mine in afternoon (1:30). I think I'm going to eat lunch around 11…I'm no nutritionist but don't eat a lot of sugar. It's bad for your body and it won't sustain you for a long time. Natural sugars are okay but stay away from processed foods. Lots of protein too! I'm treating this like game day lol. I'll take a protein bar for my break. I'm sure with all the adrenaline pumping you will be fine.

    Question for everyone how much did you all study day before or suggestions on what to do? I don't know if 4 hours is too long? I usually study 6-7 hours lately.
    And two forms of id? Assigned credit card and drivers license works? Thanks!

    @jwalk I usually did light reading of notes or flash card like print outs from the internet. It's hard because when you try to relax, all you think about is the exam and if you studied this or that part or if you remember this or that formula.

    I try to have a good lunch. Nothing to heavy and you're right sugarary foods probably not going to help. Worst case take a 5 hour energy.

    I'm gonna call prometric to see if I can use my solar panel calculator because I hate the computer version. Or see if they can calculators I can use. I think my prometric just checked license and didn't ask for second proof like a credit card.

    One week to my FAR exam.

    Final review schedule includes doing as many Ninja MCQ's as possible today and tomorrow while practicing some sims.

    Then starting from Thursday, re-read each chapter from page one of the Becker book and support it with ninja notes and ninja audio. For the last week, I love to focus on understanding the concept and cramming what needs to be crammed rather than doing MCQ's.

    Any advice on other effective strategies for this last week?

    @jwalk Oooo . . . we are taking it at the same time! I am just going to look over notes to refresh myself.

    I will probably eat a hoagie beforehand. I wish you the best! I hope we both slay this beast!

    @DeterminedCPAer

    I had a little over 2 hours left by the time I finished MC because there were a couple of MC that were longer, but I spent time on them because I felt more comfortable with those than sims.

    I agree, Becker sims weren't helpful preparing for these exams. I did well on the practice exam sims, but didn't help me test day.

    I did the same as you for rest of the course, writing JEs on margins of notes as I went. But some of the sims just seemed like I hadn't seen them in materials at all before. I think even if I had an extra half hour it wouldn't have made much of a difference.

    Hoping for a miracle as this is hopefully my last exam…otherwise my first exam expires the first week of October. Don't think I will have time to get reapproved by the CBA to retake again.

    @Ijustwanttobefree can you ask your state for an extension due to the exam changes. I've heard some people asking and the state board is approving.
